I'm looking to get a new mod. The last I got (besides my Nebox which I wouldn't really call a mod anyway) was the smoke x cube II. I hate it. I have been looking at the IVP D3, the Cuboid and the SMY touch screen. I don't know anything about the SMY except it looks cool. Anyone have one? Thoughts?

I don't know anything about smy

between the cuboid and the ipv, I would go cuboid. both are good mods, but I find joyetech to be a little more refined.

Another vote for the cuboid, more features compared to the IP3-Li, and I don't know about the smy.

And another vote for the Cuboid. Even though it has a ridiculously long thread on here where one individual talks about how terrible it is for pages upon pages, it is one of the best devices on the market in terms of functionality for the dollar.

Touch Screens on Mods are Gimmicky IMHO. I have the Reuleaux DNA200 and RX200, Vaporshark, IPV4S, YIHI ML

If you can budget the dough and you treasure Temp Control and full control over every conceivable option and setting, the DNA200's are unmatched and use an almost ITUNES proprietary windows program to adjust everything from Ramp-up times to customizing your own graphics for every screen to visually adjusting XY charts to customize your hits throughout 8 memory presets, and thats just naming a few!! If you want all that and want to stick with 18650's, Reuleaux DNA200 uses 3-18650's yet is it still one of the most comfortable mods out there, albeit heavy. And no battery sag from EVOLV DNA Chips!

If you want serious power with basic settings and temp control under $50, I think the RX200 is the best value out there right now. It honesty kicks the ass of just about all the other non-DNA/YihiSX350J mods out there. It also uses the Reuleax body and takes 3- 18650's

The reuleaux's are near identical except for the screen placement and menu OS. They're heavy but I can go a day and half pf heavy gaming while vaping heavy before switching out.

If you want moderate power and basic options and temp control, I still think the IPV4S is better than than IPV5

My wife alternates the IPV4S and a IPV D3 and she loves them both, especially the D3. Though D3 does not have step down as far as I know

Thanks for all of the helpful input. I said I hated my xcube but in reality it's not really the mod I hate, the mod has all of the features I like. It's their effed up apps. Both the bec and the touring vape apps are unstable. Ok, rant over. I think I'm going to seriously look at the Reuleaux's. thank you Nutz for all of the good info.

The RX200, and cuboid are both made by joyetech, and have similar features. I don't think you can go wrong with either for the price. I like the form factor and battery life from the rx200, but the cuboid is more pocketable.

All great choices and suggestions.
There is yet another mod you may like to have a closer look at, Eleaf iStick 100W TC Parallel 18650 Mod
i have the Cuboid and the Eleaf iStick TC and with same build (0.30OHM Stainless Steal using TC Mode) same kind of batteries on both i have to change batteries on Cuboid about 7 hours in while the iStick lasts 14 to 16 hours, and the Cuboid feels much heavier, all-thou i still love the performance of both i tend to reach for the iStick more often .

Don't get baited into the Watts war. Most if not all dual 18650 that advertise 200W is somewhat misleading. Yeah, they can do 200Watts (and who would really ever use that setting) but it would only be for a short moment before battery sag kicks in and it throttles down. In fact, Evolve insisted that those manufactures that purchased bulk DNA200 chips for their 2-18650 enclosures advertise the max wattage at 133Watts because that is all 2-18650's can truly and reliably sustain. For super low ohm builds and Higher Wattage use, I think the 3-18650 and 900Mah Lipo mods really separate themselves. The Single 18650 75W Yihi Mini ML Class will smoke any 2-18650 non-DNA mod out there with builds requiring anything under 75watts cause it throttles a clean 75watts. That SX350J-V2 chip is no joke!

Update. Went to the B&M today and tried out out the IPV line, the REULEAUX line and the Cuboid. Took my Atlantis v2 with me and tried them all out. I also boxed up the Xcube in the event I could make a deal. After trying them all, the Cuboid came out the winner. I traded my xcube and paid $10.00. For including a cool cow skin. (I don't understand why nobody has duck skins) I've tried it with all my tanks now and it really works well with my uwell. Thanks again for everyone's help.

Give your review after a period of use. Which mods did it come down to?

Get a DNA 200 mod. The Hcigar VT 200 is cheap or the Lavabox is good and affordable for DNA mods. HcigarVT has a bigger battery. You don't necessarily need windows to use it. Just missing out on custom vapor heaven. But I'm sick of unpredictable power and efficiency plus pulses are becomming a novelty. My mod blasts off at the button press. No Laisimo L1 crap.
