Hi, Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but i wasn't real sure where to put it. Mods please move it to the right place if you need to. Thanks

So, I am new to vaping and really want to jump into this thing headfirst. I have done a little research but i still have a lot to learn.

1. I want a tank that i can do my own rebuilds with.

2. I want a really powerful battery that isn't going to need charging every two hours.

Now here is where it gets foggy for me. There is a lot of products out there so i am not sure what to buy and not sure where to buy it from. I live a good distance from any real civilization so buying online would be more ideal for me. This is why i need help, lol.

What tank would you guys recommend? What battery would be good with it? I don't care about price. I just want to get something that will last and is good quality. Good taste is also very important.

Also what equipment would i need to purchase to do my own rebuilds? I have nothing and need all equipment.

Now, let me get into some other things and maybe someone can answer some things for me. I have already purchased a Kanger subtank nano and a joyetch ego one 2200 mah battery. I also picked up some menthol ejuice 11 mg.

Btw, i am trying to kick the real habit of smoking.

So i setup this kanger with my ejuice and the vapor is very warm and strong. It isn't easy for me to inhale. I also, about a week ago puchased one of those cheap ecigs from my local store and it isn't bad but i have to charge it way to often. However, the ecig for the most part gives me the right amount to inhale and it's not warm and overbearing like the kanger. I am not sure if i have done something wrong with the kanger.

I don't know if it's the ejuice i purchased or the kanger itself that is way to strong.

Also, what would you guys recommend for ejuice for someone trying to make a smooth transition from real cigs to vaping? I know this is probably very situational and depends on the person, but any help would be appreciated. I would prefer ejuice similar to regular tobacco or menthol. However, with the menthol i do not like strong menthol.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Greetings and Welcome!

First of all, I moved this to the proper section:D

And I get you as I also live in the freaking boonies.

For your mod, if a larger size is not a concern, a Sigelei 100 or 150 watt mod. Either of which will fit in your shirt pocket. These are variable wattage devices so you can adjust the temperature of your vapor to just where you like it.

Each of those holds 2 X 18650 batteries so you could get a couple of days out of each pair without recharging.

So you would need 4 X 18650 batteries to use as matched pairs in rotation.

And a good two channel charger with a 1.0 amp output. Xtar and Nightcore make good chargers.

As far as a rebuildable tank is concerned, it does not get much easier than the Kayfun series of RBAs.

And as a suggestion, a quartz tank kit for the Kayfun with replacement glass so you don't have to worry about what kind of E-Liquid you are using.

You will need some Kanthal wire. I would go with 28 gauge. Some wick material such as organic cotton. A small philiips head screwdriver with a bigger handle to replace the little screwdriver that comes with your RBA, a small pair of needle nose pliers and a small pair of wire cutters. Hobby grade will be just fine. You can get those from the bargain bin at your hardware store or online from Harbor Freight. And a Bic lighter or similar for pre treating your wire. Some people treat their wire and some do not. I do.

E-Liquids? As you are just starting to wean yourself off of the Stinkies, I would suggest 12 or even 18mg of nic at a 50/50 PG/VG mix. Keep in mind that your body will not process vape delivered nic as fast as smoking delivered nic.

As far as finding liquid flavors that you like? At first, I suggest purchasing a lot of sample size bottles. 5 to 6 mls each before committing to purchasing the larger 15 or 30ml size bottles.

Bulk E-Juice is my favorite and Mt. Baker Vapor is another. You can try a lot of different flavors at a very reasonable cost.

Tobacco flavors are the hardest to get right and find one that you like. From BEJ I like the Premium as well as the Clove Tobacco. I am not a fan of menthol myself but I do enjoy from time to time the Jungle Juice from both BEJ and MBV.

I hope this helps you out!

And feel free to PM me with any questions you may have as well:D

The reason your vape in the Kamger is so strong, is the coil and design of the clearo you are using. A juice with less menthol would help, but the Kanger you have is designed for a warmer vape and more flavor.

You may consider a Aero V2 at 10 watts. A 1.5 or a 1.8 Ohm coil will be ok for you. Put that on top of a Sigelei 100 watt mod, and a charge will last you likely 2 days. But follow Uncle's advice. Me, I would avoid the kayfun, and forget rebuilding if you can't handle the vape off the Nano. At least for now.

Thanks for all the replies.

I am a mouth to lung person. I have been recommended the Lemo drop and Kayfun. Which should i get between these two? Also, there seems to be several versions of the Kayfun, any idea which i should be looking at?

Sorry for all the noob questions but this vaping thing with so much hardware available is overwhelming, lol.

Hey, we were all "noobs"at one time.

And I needed a lot of help myself 3 weeks ago when I first started vaping:D

I have not used the Lemo myself. If you wish more control over the airflow get the Kayfun Lite Plus.

I could suggest the Orchid series but to be honest, I would not recommend them to someone that has never wrapped or installed a coil/wick assembly before.

But perhaps you could consider just trying your Subtank Nano with a new VW device like I recommended?

Where you can control the heat/flavor of your vape?

Also a lot of vapers do what is called the "French Inhale" where you draw the vapor into your mouth and then inhale?

And above all, since you are new to this, don't think you are going to find instant gratification.

Not gonna happen unless you get lucky.

We are all different and we each need to find what is best for ourselves.

And it just plain takes Time!

If you're new to this then I'm gunna start by suggesting not jumping straight into building, especially having no one to really show you how to build yet, so that being said I'd go with the Aspire Atlantis tank and an ipv or seigeli box mod that goes no higher than 100 watts as you won't really need it or you can go with something like the Dovpo daul 18650 unregulated mod then go get the Ohms Law Calculator app so you don't blow your hand off with too much power, as for juice there are a number of places to get them but I would not go higher than 12mg of nic or you'll eventually feel sick with a setup like I've suggested, any other questions let me know, I'll be happy to help!

I also suggest higher VG content juices, PG isn't really something you want too much of in your body, stick with 70/30 VG/PG blends or higher

You might try Real Extracts Cowboy and the Cowboy Menthol. The Cowboy is Burley and Virginia. The Cowboy Menthol is a medium menthol that is more like a Salem than a Newport - not too strong. We have a sample pack of four 10ml flavors that I think you very well might find what you are looking for as these are real tobacco flavors (NET).

I've been vaping awhile and I still don't rebuild. Aspire bvc heads in et-s and vivi Nova tanks. For me they give the perfect amt of flavor and warmth, I don't like a hot vape myself. Using an istick 20 and an mvp 2 gives me all the power I need. Everyone is unique in how they vape, so try to piece together everyones suggestions and try not to spend a ton of $ on something that just doesn't work for your particular needs. Everyone here is very helpful, so ask questions. Someone will surely have some answers that will work for u.

Just wanted to update this thing and let everyone know that helped me that i really appreciate it. I ended up getting the Sigelei 150 and a Lemo Drop tank. I also purchased everything i need to build my own. I removed the coil that came with the Lemo and coiled my own at 2.4 ohms. At around 25 watts this thing vapes awesome. So again, thanks to everyone that helped, especially UncleRJ.

Now i am off to sink a small fortune into juices and hopefully find some i like. ;)
