So -

Like an idiot I went out this weekend, had about 10 too many and lost my VT200 + IJOY Combo. It's a tough loss as my I just changed the battery out on my VT200 and was really in love with that Combo. Not the cheapest set-up to replace either.

Pulling the trigger on the MVP 4.0 as my 22mm backup to drip on, but any suggestions on the best device 24mm-25mm device to be my baby? Preferably under 200 total?

For $200 total, why not another DNA board mod (250 this time) and iJoy combo if you like it so much? It will still come in under $200.

Are there any 250s that aren't triple 18650s with the exception of the VS or Boxer? Those are pretty hefty budget wise and having to buy batteries and an external charger is a major turn off. I know I've read here before the DNA250 is safer to charge the 18650s batteries on-board, but the through of three 18650s failing while I sleep is pretty terrifying.

Do you need 250W? If you are good with 166W, you can get a DNA 250 based 2 battery solution (same 250 board, just set for 2 batteries instead). The Therion and Finder have nice form factors for pockets and looks. Both will safely balance charge at 2A, up from 1A on the 200 board. The 250 board also has reverse polarity protection on the board as well. And both (well Therion for sure, it's in my hand, Finder virtually positive) will hold a 25 mm tank without overhang.

sorry for your less :(
best is pretty subjective and depends what you are looking for. 200 is mroe then enough money for a good mod and atty. you can rebuy a combo for about 20 bucks if you liked it that much. no reason to change really. it's a good RDTA for sure
as far as the mods go, if you liked your DNA 200 mod go for another one? Do you use temp control? If not you can but other mods pretty cheap. Some good mods that aren't too expensive are the homewrecker G2, Smok Alien, Smoant Battlestar, Smok G320 off the top of my head. What wattage do you normally vape at?

Might as well get another DNA. Seems like Lost Vape is dominating the DNA game right now.

Which I-Joy?
The Combo RDTA - LOVED IT. Will definitely be grabbing another of those for sure.

That's the plan, I'm thinking I might as well go to 250...but I'm not wild about going back to 18650s.

I have dabbled in it, didn't have the best experience but may go back to it.

Between 69 (giggity) and 100, depending on the what I'm using. I was rocking my Combo at about 95W, so I could probably get away with a DNA166.

well if you don't mind going back to 18650 batts and are ok with the 167 watts. the finder 167, therion 167, and VT167 are all good options and range from 90-130 bucks. they will also be smaller and more pocket-able

I personally wouldnt go for the VT167. Its lacking it qc, the battery door is quite loose even after a good squeeze, and mine took a shit after less than a month of use. I have a therion 166 and a triade 250 and absolutley love them both. Ive usb charged them both for over a month now with no problemsi run my therion with an ijoy rdta at 105w and triade with a modfather at 145w. Both perform great.

The eFusion Duo may be worth checking out too. I don't think they've made a DNA 250 version, but it's a great mod. Comes with a 1300 mah lipo installed, but also comes with a battery sled to run in dual 18650 mode. Fits 25mm atties.

Also, you don't need to bother with an external charger for a DNA mod. My eFusion Duo keeps my 18650s balanced better than my Nitecore charger does. If the onboard balanced charging wasn't reliable it'd be much more dangerous to charge a 3-cell lipo than 18650s.

So, given my track record so far, I'm pulling the trigger on an MVP4 for my out and about mod. That way if I decide to time travel at least I won't regret losing it so much.

Still holding out for a decent DNA250 Lipo, but it's looking like every affordable company is pushing the 18650 models. :/

Has the boxer been recommended to you yet? The Vaporshark 200 or 250 is another lipo DNA. Small battery but charged in less than an our.
