Negative connection gouged. Worth worrying about?

I recently acquired a VC X1 mechanical tube mod and it fired up just fine and still does, but I noticed a pretty deep gouge in the pin that makes a connection to the negative end of the battery.



Is this worth worrying about? If it's no biggie I don't wanna go bugging the vendor for a replacement, but if it is then I'd like to know so I can get that taken care of.

as long as it is not sharp, you are OK.

Could always get some sandpaper or a file and smooth it out.

I thought that same thing initially, but it's a little too deep for that methinks.

Don't have to grind it flat... just need to remove sharp edges and high spots.
