Jar lid grippers is what I use. Have to use them on my nautilus mini sometimes because of the vacuum in the tank.

Lol
That might work... I use a little noalox
to lightly coat the bottom of the Artic
and the top of the top cap before screwing down the tank on the mod.. Sorta keeps it from getting stuck...
Try putting the base in a wooden door jam and close the door to hold it tight..then use a shop rag or towel on the tank itself and twist firmly.... I got mine apart this way before.. Anyway , good luck!

Noalox is good stuff, but you only want to use just a tiny bit...just the lightest coating possible or it can work against you as much as it can for you...just a tiny thin coating on the threads of your mod will help conductivity and smooth out any burrs or rough spots making the mod and it's connection points, including the 510, much smoother. However, too much Noalox and you can have issues.

I know you know this @smacksy ....I just added this bit for the newer vapor that might not know what noalox is or what it's used for or that it can give you issues in excessive amounts and that the least possible amount should be used :)

Personally...I agree with @OBDave ...nothing that the freezer has not been able to unstick....put it in the ole' icebox for a half to a full hour and try again, the drastic temp change will shrink the metal and should help "break the topper" free :) Best of luck to you

I learned that one about an hour after I destroyed a copper/carbon Paragon clone my wife had managed to wedge together with some channel locks and vise grips...

for pliers, put some tissue between the mod and pliers and pull up while loosening

I stretch rubber tubing - the kind usually used for vacuum hoses from any automotive store - over the jaws of regular slip joint pliers to make a couple of pair of soft jaw pliers. Always a couple of them in my vape tool chest.
