So Im still a newbie but I just upgraded to an Ecto 2200 5push battery, and when I push the button, all it does it blink 3 times, and when I put it on the charger, the Green LED on the charger doesnt turn red, it just turns off as is nothings actually charging. Do you think this is a defective battery?

It sounds like you got one with a faulty chipset in it...did you buy it online or at a local B&M? if you bought it local in the last couple days the B&M should just swap it out if you show them it's faulty...at least mine does and I don't see why a good shop wouldn't. If you bought it online you might want to email your retailer and tell them your situation. With X-mas a couple days away it might take a while to ship back but most online shops also have a "DOA" policy. There's nothing worse than waiting for vapemail and having a dud...it happens to the best of us. I've got a DNA 30 vaporshark and when I first got it the thing lasted less than a week before I had to send it in for faulty wiring. It was under warranty but still...having to wait for something you've held in your hands is horrible. I am sorry to read your battery troubles....do you have another battery you can use in the meantime at least?
