Developer Turn 10 has today confirmed the details of its inaugural Forza Racing Championship series. The largest eSports competition in Forza Motorsport history, as noted by the studio, begins on Monday, August 8 and registration is open now.
The Forza Racing Championship (ForzaRC) has been arranged to offer competitive racing available across a variety of skill levels. The ‘Elite Series’, pitched towards expert Forza racers and set to play out over three weeks, will begin with a Rivals qualifier event which will determine the seeding for the ESL’s weekly ForzaRC Elite Series Cup tournament. The top 16 racers in the weekly Elite Series Cup tournament will compete in a “Showdown” race, broadcast on the Forza Twitch channel each Sunday for three weeks. The top four racers from each weekly Showdown will progress to the Grand Final, the winner of which will score a real-life 2017 Ford Focus RS.
