I have a Kanger Evod and as a beginner I enjoy it. I want to upgrade to something that still has a tank, easy to use, and good battery power to make lotsa vapor. I do not want something huge, just something better than evod that i can put in my pocket. any assistance is appreciated.

I currently upgraded from a Aspire CF Sub Ohm Battery to a Sigelei 150w box, it works perfectly with tanks,
I highly recommend that or the 100w, still the 150w its pretty cool if you ever want to give RDAs a try.
The battery life of mine is currently about a day and half of chain vaping on a Apsire Atlantis, and makes a good amount of clouds and does bring out the flavor alot more aswell.
Plus its at a decent price at 99-120, depends on where you buy it from.

Upgrading your mod, will not make the tank you have now, produce better vapor.

You would need a new mod and a new Clearo type tank.

If you want something compact look at the Sigelei 30 or 50 watt mini.

Solid mod.

The ever-popular iStick comes to mind, with the equally popular Subtank - to be used first with shit-those-things-are-expensive pre-made coils, then with the rebuildable head when you're ready to dive into rebuilding.

Thanks for the help. I do not have a budget. I would like something that is a not a box or huge robot looking dong. I have zero mod experience. I was thinking something like Evod on steroids. Something any dummy do use out of the box.

Thanks. I see the Aspire Nautilus Mini coils are approx 13 dollars for a 5 pack. This is more than Kanger. Is that because they last longer??

Well. there are options out the wahzoo right now.

Clouds and tank leave less options. You want simple, then look at the Subtanks by Kanger. They have a Nano, a Mini, and a full size sub tank. Organic cotton coils, and the options of Ohms, that should delight someone looking for simplicity and clouds.
You could also consider the Aspire Atlantis.

As for mods, I'd look at Istick's 50 watt unit, or something from Smok. They have internal batteries and charge via USB. Pretty dog gone simple.

These will allow good clouds and flavor from a tank and mod set up. BIG clouds come from more complicated equipment. Though I will say I personally don't find it complicated. But I don't mind fiddling with my equipment either.

If you're on a shoestring budget, I suggest you get into rebuildables rightaway. Pre-built coils are going to kill you over time. I kid you not...

You can usually find them on sale somewhere for around $9 or $10. Yes, imo they are better and last longer than Kanger.

For pocket-ability, I think the Ego One (comes with a tank) might be a good bet. I have the 2200Mah version and love it. It's tiny, the 1100Mah one is teenie tiny. The ability to swap out coils from 1 Ohm to .5 Ohm (for clouds) is a nice feature, plus a rebuildable head is in the works by Joyetech and will be released in the very near future. Pami has a good suggestion too with the iStick and Nautilus mini as does UncleRj with the Sigelei 30watt, you'd just need to choose your tank such as a Nautilus, or a Kanger Mini Subtank (for lotsa clouds).

I'd say istick too for a compact mod, i have 2 actually (20 and 50w) and wouldnt bet about the life duration of these.
Another alternative is ego one kit as said before, even the XL (2200mah)is still compact.
The downside of this one for me is that they are not too easy to fill and check juice lvl.
