New Goon RDA

Just picked up another Goon RDA. This one was ordered directly from 528 Custom.
When I received it it looked like it had a bit of machine oil left over in it, tried to rinse and wash. Even used a bit of rubbing alcohol to try to remove it, but it will not come off. Not what I'd expect from a $70 atomizer...
Would you just vape and not worry about it or should I contact 528 Custom and see if they'll replace it?

That's not machine oil, that's just bad machining. At least that's what it looks like. Contact 528 and send that dud back immediately, if it doesn't wash off then that's bad enough, but this also means 528 has some shit CC checks.

I agree, it looks like oxidation or some kind of acidic staining. Either way, for an authentic, brand new Goon, I would be sending that shit back and sending 528 a strongly worded email. For $20 that would still piss me off, let alone $70.

Just sent an email.
Hopefully I hear back soon.
I emailed them a while back with a question but never heard back. Hopefully I actually get a response

Looks like cooper oxidization or discoloration.
A new RDA especially an expensive one, shouldn't come like that.

Just be aware that using a copper/brass atty does involve a lot of cleaning.

Yeah I expected to have to clean it every so often to prevent or remove oxidation but I wasn't expecting it to come like that.
I've also owned copper attys in the past and they've NEVER oxidized in the juice well. Only gets discoloration on the cap. So not sure why it came like this.
I also have owned a copper Goon (besides this one) but it wasn't bought directly from 528 that never oxidized in the juice well.

My dealings with 528's CS have been great, you shouldn't have a problem getting a replacement.

They got back to me on Monday, said they would ship out a replacement, but never replied when I asked for tracking so my mailman doesn't leave it in front of my apartment if they send one lol
So just waiting to see if one comes...
