Ok so I just started vaping again trying to kick smoking after 17 years, I went into the vape shop by me and the guys in there weren't very helpful and made me feel every question I asked was stupid or something so anyways, I walked out with a Kangertech Subox Nano kit and some e-liquid. Upon further research of my own via the internet I found out this device is for Sub-ohming (which I had to figure out what that was) and I don't think thats what I'm really looking for I'm not into blowing huge clouds or looking to but i do like big draws thats how I smoke cigarettes. My question is do I have to sub-ohm with this set-up can I use the 1.2 ohm coil instead, will I still get big draws? Was this setup overkill for me ?

Actually, that's a great starter kit. It's not a cloud chasing kit, but will definitely give you a pleasant vape. What mg of nicotine did you get?
I got 6 MG. smoked a pack to 2 packs a day. I vape on it a lot since I haven't been smoking but its only the first 3 days.also why is the vapor so hot? Its practically burning my lips lol I have the air vent fully open.

What wattage are you vaping at? Might need to turn it down some.
only around 15 watts nothing higher than 20W
What is the resistance of your coil?
0.5ohm the one that came with subox kit
You're wattage is on target, a little low actually. But if you want it cooler, turn the wattage down and try it. Remember, vaping is totally subjective to the individual. I vape at 360 watts give or take.
Will the Vape be cooler with the 1.2ohm coils? Will I still get large draws with the 1.2ohm coils? Also are either one of these coils reusable what if i want to switch juices but the coil is still new?

Cooler yes. Large draws, eh probably not. And yes they are reusable until they're worn out.
If you put in the 1.2, set the wattage down to about 12 watts.
even when I have the wattage at 10-11watts with the 0.5 ohm coils its still kinda hot and burns my lips
Is the vapor hot or the tip getting hot?
The vapor is hot, i think I was drawing on it to slow maybe I was thinking a longer tip, as well. When you wanna swap juices do rinse out the coils or anything? Obviously I would rinse the tank out.
Never rinse the coil. Just the rest of the tank but no coil lol.
Can't do very much about the vapor being hot, but getting a delrin (plastic) tip will cool the tip a lot.
You'll have to play with your draw a little to get what you like. Do you mouth to lung hit (like a cigarette) or do you lung hit (inhale straight to your lungs)?
