Been sub ohming since early summer. And time is now for learning to mix my own.
What I noticed so far that might impact the recipes and or the flavor:

  • Dual coil @.3 ohm seems to be my choice of tank setup with plenty of vape
  • Prefer smooth e-juice so more VG then PG
  • Taste should be toned down as to not be overwhelming also favors VG
  • Good airflow = nice
  • Prefer top air flow as well as bottom to cool vape
  • Vape production over flavor cos many juices are too tasty for me
  • Looking to make juice that are colorless if possible
  • Will use nicotine strength to be determined 3-6 mg will probably do it
  • Looking for natural flavor, natural products and pharmaceutical grade nicotine preferrable
  • Prefer e-juices that goes easy on the coils as well as the lungs *no coughing*
  • Do more direct lung hits then mouth to lung, but even with low ohm coils I can't stop MTL from happening - smokers reflexes I guess

When I first did e-cigalikes a few years back I had a cappuccino juice I like a lot. So I am looking to make a great coffee juice. Does not have to ba cappuccino, could be espresso, whatever coffee or even related flavors like irish coffee or Irish Cream. Thinking it over I probably would like to have an Irish Cream (baileys) vape on its own. I've seen various recipes for all of those, but not one tells me if there are color added, how the juice will affect coils and how the vaping feels. Like if it is smooth or more of a throat hit.

Then I need a tobacco taste too, just because tobacco tastes dang good as a 20 a day smoker for more the 30 years. I've seen dozens of variations, some with caramel and vanilla added etc. Same goes here. Except for the recipe itself there is not a whole lot of information. Again, color, taste profile, throat hit and how juice threat my coils.

Then there is this mango juice I like a lot. But when I searched for DIY mango tastes I found that many are reported stale or too tasty.

My goal for these juices are to get enough nicotine to get relaxed and get that nice feeling going that we get from our analog cigarettes. Yet with smooth flavor and smooth vaping feel.

Direct links to various recipes does not help me much, what I am after if peoples favorite recipes for these categories along with some descriptions of how you feel the juice you present taste and feel. Any side notes like does the amount of nicotine change the taste or the feeling when vaping.

Looking forward to hear from experienced vapors what makes a good vape experience for them and what of these categories they do vape regularly or at least once in a while.

Summary:
  1. Coffee flavor of some sort, latte or cappuccino
  2. Irish Cream
  3. Tobacco flavor with added sweetness
  4. Mango just because it taste delicious
Will do the mixing by using a precision scale if that matters at all. Known vendors and known products will be appreciated. I choose quality over quantity for vaping.

Will using a magnetic stirrer help to blend items in the juice? Or maybe help curing the juice for best possible taste? I see some recommend heat for 15 minutes. Can magnetic stirrer help to prevent the heating part?

Can't answer all your questions. I don't have any experience with Mango and very little (unsuccessful) with coffee. I'm something of a real coffee "connoisseur", and none of the extracts I've tried even comes close to what I'd demand from a coffee vape.

I do lots of tobaccos. A small list of some of my favorite single flavor "sweet" tobaccos.
1. SC Black and Mild
2. SC Cohiba
3. SC Island Tobacco
4. SC RY4
5. HS Arabic
6. INW AM4A
7. INW Dark for Pipe

There's a lot of SC on that list. They can be had at Bull City. Kind of assuming based on your wording that you're not in the US. I don't know specifically where to get Super Concentrates outside of the US. It's a Chinese brand, shouldn't be too difficult. INW and Hangsen should be easy to source as well. FlavourArt also makes some "alright" tobaccos, but they're not my favorite by far. Their Cuban Supreme and Glory are excellent. 7 Leaves is also workable as a base (though not sweet on its own).

Irish creams...I've tried several. TFA is nothing special on its own, and pretty weak, but it's a par (decent) mixer. FW has a heavy whisky element that I don't care for. HS is decent, but with a very heavy milk note. Haven't tried CAP. My favorite is FA. It's different from the others, dark in color with more of a creamy Kahlua and chocolate element. I have a Bailey's recipe that uses it. Don't know where I got it, but judging from the flavors used it's probably from DIYorDie.

FA Fresh Cream 0.75%
FA Irish Cream 2%
FA Marshmallow 1%
FA Meringue 1%
FA Vienna Cream 1.50%

Haven't tried it yet. It's in my steep drawer with a lot of stuff ahead of it.

I don't speed steep, so no words of wisdom on heat or magnetic mixers. Just shake, shake, shake and wait wait wait. I do swear by leaving the cap off overnight for certain flavors to let the heavy chemical/alcohol elements evaporate off (CAP/TFA Vanilla Custards, CAP Sweet Strawberry, TFA Banana Cream, FW Yellow Cake are the prime offenders, + anything with Diketones, ie; TFA VBIC).

That's all I got. Have fun, good luck!

Mango just because it taste delicious

The 2 I'd start with are CAP Sweet Mango and/or INW Mango.
CAP is sweeter & milder than INW which is quite bold at 2%.
Easy to adjust amounts from mild to wild tho.
And you can always add 1-3 drops of sweetener if desired.

FA Espresso is a decent coffee type, probably start at 1% or less tho as it's pretty strong.
And you can also add Cream & Sweetener.

Every brand of Irish Cream I've tried has a different in taste.
FA has a chocolate background, whereas CAP, FW, and TFA don't.
Or just maybe not so bold anyway.

I prefer both the VZ-SC & Inawera tobaccos over FA brand.
(But I'm after the ones that don't have caramel, nuts, spices, etc added)

Need a smooth brand of NIC to also keep the TH down IMO.
HiLiq & VaporTek are the 2 I'd recommend.

VG is made from either Soy, Coconut Oil, or Palm Oil.
With the latter 2 being preferred by me, and some others.
The Palm based is supposed to be a bit thinner so less DW, or PG is needed for thinning.

Thx for your answer, really great. Yeah I've gotten 4-5 different coffee flavors this summer and none of them hit the high C. They where all out of tune so to say. And should it really be that difficult? Maybe we need to get into extracting too, and do it ourselves. Making the one great coffee vape :)

I will look into the details over the next few days and start placing orders.

Regarding the Irish Cream vape, is there any of the recipes that produces a vape that is fairly close to the drinking Irish Cream?
Or is it very noticeable that it is a clone?

Kind-of up to each individuals taste buds but I'm not too keen on any of them myself.

Alcohol and tobacco flavors can be pretty tricky. They're my favorites yet I've found them harder to mix than fruits and sweets.

You may have more luck starting the Irish Cream from scratch than using an off the shelf flavor. If it was me I'd start with Vienna Cream (FA) and Kentucky Bourbon (TPA), maybe around a 2 to 1 ratio. Then add in the rest of the notes in smaller amounts, possibly a few drops of one of the Irish Cream concentrates.

My favorite tobacco flavor by far is Cured Tobacco by Flavorah(FLV). It's the main ingredient in my ADV. Just don't mix more than week's supply at once because the flavor does fade with time.

Ok so here is my shopping, hopefully I got it before the weekend:

  • Propylene Glyco 100 mg strength
  • VG base 80% VG
  • Irish Cream FA
  • Cappuccino PA
  • Mango PA
  • ApplePie v2 Capella
  • Smooth PA
  • Caramel Mocha M&M
  • Ry4 FA
  • Kentacky Bourbon PA

These are what I am most excited to get. If you tasted these let me know what you think, and pls share if you use any of these as a stand alone blend or if you use them with other flavors.

  • Irish Cream FA
  • Cappuccino PA
  • Mango PA
  • Ry4 FA
Will those work on their own, or should they be mixed with other stuff to bring out smoothness and taste? What about steeping, how long should they steep before vaping? I've seen fruit juice don't need much steeping, but tobacco, alcohol and coffee do. Will 2 weeks of steeping at room temperature work? Or should I try to steep in the crock pot? If so what temperature settings and how long time for steeping?

I've got some funky tasting ready to vape liquid that I didn't use due to the taste, vape production and overall feel of the juice. It felt like too much flavor, too harsh and too sweet.
They tasted heavily "parfumed" so they could do with a more mellow taste. I am thinking I could try to blend them with VG base.

What procentage of VG should I start with?

Here they are:

Moliq Cola
Moliq Banana
Moliq Coconut
Moliq Delight

Maybe a little touch of the Smooth from PA? Or could I blend two or more of them as part of a mix?

Any ideas what I can do with these are welcome. I just hate the idea of throwing them away, cos that's what will happen if I don't try to save them somehow.

@jambi did you try your Irish Cream vape yet? I would love to hear how it tasted when steeping is done.

Yeah those Moliq e-juice bottles got trashed. It didn't work out. Oh well.
Mango is super nice. Cappuccino and Caramel Mocha not all that. Not so bad I can't vape em but not what I was hoping for.
The one I have not yet mixed is the Irish Cream. I am still waiting to hear back from @jambi about his take on the Irish Cream.

Hopefully he will find back to this thread and pitch in.

If not, I can always hope someone else has tried and found great recespie for Irish Cream. I don't feel like wasting even more by going at it without help from you pro mixers. I hate wasting stuff.

I assume you mean hiliq?

The hiliq flavors I mixed need a lot of steeping. I let them sit for an hour with the lid off, sealed them, then let them steep at least two weeks.

No it is Moliq. From Poland iirc.
http://www.molinshop.com/category/moliq-e-liquids-10-ml-strength-6

They got other brands as well and also they got a dripper line with most VG, and decent prices so I will try their dripper line and some known brand names from them also.

It could be I ruined those flavors as I tried to "air them out" first, then made a "juice spa" in my slow cocker and had them cook for a few hours.
From the start they where kind of harsh and had a to defined taste, like boom in your face taste. Some was too sweet on top of too much flavor. So I tried to mellow them out by adding 80/20 vg liquid, with a dash of smooth but some tasted smelly feet and others well they got binned all of them.

When I ordered those I didn't think to order from their dripper line, which has a thicker 70/30 vg/pg ratio. Turns out I favor high VG blends.
