New Mod and Question

Hello all,

I just picked up a Kanger Subtank mini and wanted to show it off and ask a quick question. I know they have been around a while and everyone has one but I can't get over how cool this thing looks...



My question - The 0.5 coil reads at 0.6, why is that? Is this a common issue with the Subox? Is it even an issue?

Btw, I get the same reading with the RTA and pre made coil.

Many chips aren't that accurate, it's not uncommon for them to read ohms slightly off. Nice combo, you'll enjoy it.

There are so many variables involved the closest reading anyone will get is a coil/ohm meter. All OLED screens show a general reading. + or - some. Even the really high end Mods are not that accurate.

Sometimes its not the mod though, usually those premade coils are off a bit,
Atlantis coils tend to run 0.03-0.06 over-even on an accurate HDMM.

Mine's reading at 0.6 too. Loving both black and white editions. Can't help but stare at it every time I use it. I wanna get my hands on the blue edition though.

I've measured my two Subtank Plus on my (very accurate) usa-ohm-meter, due to both reading 0.6 Ohm on the mod I was using, and it read 0.58 Ohm with both. I assume it's the internal resistance of the tank. Would be interesting to measure the coil heads themselves with a multimeter.

Well, that sucks! Luckily it's Christmas time, a good time to upgrade, and buy some new "toys" to go with it.

Since purchasing the Kanger I've purchased a few new mods. You are right about Christmas, I got a new Evic mini with all the upgrades and was lucky to get it a few days early. I also have a rx200 coming but it will be a few days late. My brother offered to replace it but instead I had him replace it with a 4 bay battery charger. Even though I hardly ever used the Kanger before it was destroyed, I ordered a new box to replace the broken one. It's just too pretty not to have in my collection.

I probably spent more on vape gear this month, than on Christmas presents. I bought several Crown and TFV4 tanks, some more RDAs to add to my collection (currently 61), the Reuleaux DNA, as well as a Whitecloud DNA. Still waiting on the Whitecloud. I guess I'll see it next year.

I see this a lot with Aspire coils, what I have found is that if I load a new coil right before bed, prime it, and load my tank, then let it set over night, the reading will change, if it doesn't, than I just drop my wattage and Vape On, after a few hours it will drop into place. The longest I've seen it take was a day.
