I don't know much about vaping engineering so I will probably get laughed at for this idea but just had to post it.
A mod that keeps its tank stored internally like a squonk but as a replacement to an atty tank rather than as a reserve. An internal tank that would be either refilled from the bottom similar to a refillable lighter or can be taken out of the mod for refills. A coil slot in the mod just over the tank similar to a Sim/Memory chip sliding tray but obviously quite thicker with next generation coils designed to lock into place once the tray and door are closed. Either that or open up the mod casing to remove a next generation coil out of its slot and pop in another.
The external atty would be far more simple and smaller designed solely for desired airflow.
I know I am probably missing some functional aspects as well as simple reasons why this can't happen but just had to throw the basic concept out there.
