Hi everyone. I have thought to myself, seeing as I have bought and accumulated so much gear-why not start giving some unbiased reviews, as I am not being payed or getting the items for free?
Lets start with the new EVIC VT MINI.
I got this this morning, and was a bit worried as I had heard people saying about the restrictive airflow, I will get to this later, but this is only restrictive if you class restrictive as anything less than a wide open competition dripper.
The device itself is TINY, measuring around 8mm taller than the IPV D2, about 5mm thinner, and the exact same depth.
Here is its size, note I have very small hands for a man due to a hormone issue, so girls, this mod will fit your hands great
:
Now, how does it perform is the main question. My answer was one I was not expecting-excellently.
I am currently using the stock NI200 .20 ohm coil in there( 0.19) set at 240C-and this is as smooth as my sig 150 TC.
I have it set at 240C with 22W. I have tried it at 40W with the same temp settings, and it works just as smooth.
It seems like a well made device, I like the battery door, which comes off like this:
And is held in place by magnets. Here it is closed off again:
Now, onto the included tank. You may of heard this being a 'restrictive' tank to you-I do not find it to be restrictive for a tank at all. It has a LOT more airflow than my Lemo V2, Goblin mini, and dare I say it, its on about par with my subtank in all honesty.
The only people who would see this as restrictive are used to using competition drippers.
The stock tank I thought I would just take straight off and throw in a bag and use a better tank, but guess what? I actually think the tank is good enough to stay on! It has plenty of flavour, produces nice big clouds if you want it too, and i have the airflow about half closed for this.
Wide open it really can chuck. I have a uwell crown and a OBS crius, Obsiously this isn't as productive as them-but it will give a lemo a run for its money easily beating it.
Now, I don't know if they have changed the tank to make the airflow less restrictive on newer models, as this kept getting mentioned to me. I use drippers wide open, and also less open for my derringer and flavour-but this is NOT a restrictive tank-lung hits are easy and smooth, and pretty airy fully open.
Right, who is this device suited for?
I recommend this to either: A: Someone who has never vaped before, and wants a fair priced, good device that they will enjoy, with the option of TC or power (It only comes with TC coils-so expect to use TC, its easy though trust me
, just set it to say 230-270C and then use your wattage as normal. It just stops the coil exceeding the temp you set, obviously more watts makes a higher temp, so if you actually want to be running it at higher wattages, you will want to set a higher temp).
Or B, for people like me, who own many devices and want to try it for their collection.
I can honestly not see anybody being disapointed with this device, and it has a much better screen than the Istick, so I would recommend this over the Istick starter kit.
Plus, the menus do not flash for a split second on this like I have seen the I stick do, making it hard to see your wattage you are setting too.
So, newbie vapers who want a real experience? Get this and a samsung 25R, and you are off. I have not even upgraded mine to 75W, still at 60, and it is performing great.
I highly recommend the FULL kit to anyone out there. It is not restrictive, I am vaping this today, probably all day, and am taking 3-5 second direct to lung pulls with ease, with the airflow at just over halfway. I do genuinely believe it to either be an updated tank, or people complaining it is restrictive are used to only using dripppers with mad airflow, and not tanks.
It can be had for £45 I think, a 25R can be bought in the UK for under a fiver-so thats £50, if you smoke 20 a day, say a box of cigs is £8 a day, you have payed for this in under a week of smoking. So it is actually a very budget alternative, that WILL help you stop.
So, that about wraps it up. Any questions, feel free to ask, and I will also update if I notice any issues with the actual device-but for some reason, I have the feeling I wont
. I am thinking of doing some honest youtube reviews, not that I have received for free from a company, so I am not biased for getting a freebie. I will point out flaws in the device, such as the Xcube, and the plus's, but I am not sure yet.
Hope this helps people, go get yourself a EVIC VT Mini, and have a great day
.
EDIT: I would like to add, just testing, that wide open, this tank throws as much cloud as my subtank, and has pretty good flavour. Very impressed.
I have upgraded the device, and it works great with Ni200, TI, and SS, and also power mode at lower wattage is great, I wont really use this for anything past 35-40W as I have different devices for that. It also adds some extra screen functions that are handy-like amps being used for example.
I will update this after a month of usage, to let you know of any quirks I find, but so far vaping on it since 10 am, now 5:40PM and I have not even had to change the battery yet-usually I will easily be on my second battery by now, and I have mostly been using TC.
EDIT 2: I made a 316L 2MM 0.5 coil, and was treated to a smooth TC experience.
This really is good-if I still love it this much after a month, I will recommend this to new vapers, plus having stepdown and a tank that is much better than I thought-so much better I have actually ordered coils and RBA coils for it, it beats the D2. And I love the D2.
