New mod.. new batteries.. newbie.. oh nos!

Hello all,
I'm a relatively new vaper. Just over 3 months off the analogs. I got started with a Vision spinner II and some Protanks, then soon moved onto an istickTC40w and some subtank nanos, and I've been doing ok with this so far, and was looking into getting myself a little something better after Xmas.

Well, lucky me won a contest!! YAY! A Snow Wolf 200w. (yes I read all the stuff going on with the company pulling the warranty, but who am I to tip my nose at a free mod, right?)

So this will be my first experience with the whole 18650 battery thing, and I want to vape safe. I've been all over the place researching and ended up buying a Nitecore charger and a few Samsung 25r's.

Here's my dilemma. My order came in and there was a white sticker on the batteries, (chinese shipping label perhaps?) but when I peeled back the sticker instead of INR18650 25R, these batteries say iCr18650 30B. Red flags went up, I took a look at my order, made sure I didn't mess up and emailed the vendor. I have new batteries on the way (from elsewhere) and they already reimbursed me for the ICR18650 30b and said not to bother sending them back. Are these batteries even safe to use in the Snow Wolf 200w?

I vape at about 20w on my subtanks, and have never even played with the temp control on the istick, so I dont plan on doing anything crazy when the new mod comes in, but should I wait for the 25r batteries just to be super safe?

Any help understanding the difference between the batteries would be great. I cant find much information on them, so if they cant be used in a box mod my only other question would be.. where do you recycle these guys?

I figured they weren't usable when I didn't recognize any of the numbers. I can't even find any info on what these are actually used for. Flashlights maybe? I dunno. I don't want to just chuck them in the trash. Guess I'll have to do some more research. Thank you.

I feel like I've skipped a few steps moving up to this powerful a device so soon. I had my eyes on a Cool Fire IV, not even sure what I'd need a 200w for, but hey... free, and money is tight.

NO do not use them in a mod they are 5amp.
Thank you! I figured that, but just making sure. I'm glad I looked under the sticker. I watched a couple videos about batteries before I ordered them and saw there's a lot of fakes out there, so I really tried to check them out thoroughly.

Watts, horsepower, firearms, and condoms..
Better to have and not need than need and not have.

Careful... I went through 2 Snow Wolf 200s in a week. The chips burned out. Then got a Sigelei Fuchai 200w mod. But my wife has had a Snow Wolf for 6 months and loves it!

For 200W in a two battery mod I'd use Sony VTC4

Wait for the 25R's and buy a nice flashlight for the 30B's

My brothers go camping a lot. I think they might just get some new flashlights for Xmas this year ;)
If you do go looking for incredible flashlight at an unbelievable price. Check this link. They are crazy cheap, and brighter than anything I have ever seen. LOL, and I'm retired military, and a flashlight whore. I give them as gifts in my business. I've had and given away over 20 of them, and no one has had a problem. I have never seen anything brighter. VU is not letting me leave a link. Search ebay for 2500Lumens-LED-Flashlight-Torch-UltraFire

LOL It is a really good light, The beam pattern can be focused by sliding the bezel back and forth. I've used a variety of tactical lights, some costing over $100. This light at $10 is brighter, it's crazy. There are 3 power settings + SOS + Strobe

I just found out my dad beat me to the punch and already got them some flashlights for Xmas, so guess I'll be buying one for myself soon. Again, thanks for the heads up. I really probably will grab one of these flashlights to keep in my emergency "bug out bag".

Yeah those batteries are mainly for things like laptop battery packs, but they can work really well for most flashlights as long as they're not super high power.

One weird thing about them by the way, they're 4.35V batteries (standard li-ion maxes out at 4.2V). So you'll get more battery life out of them if you use a special 4.35V charger. But you don't have to.

The Xtar VP2 charger will charge those ICR's to 4.35v by switching the toggle to the 3.8 position.
