If not? what do you recommend? and also, any recommended brands of flavoring? I am clueless as far as brands go... please help???

Hello.
Welcome to the Forums.
I have never made juice by my self, but i used to buy them.. What flavors are you looking for?
My favorite is Luscious by VGOD the flavor is sweet melon it taste good, and another one which is by Baked Vapes called peaches and cream...

I think Ive seen flavors i wanna try but, the guy who makes the juice i usually buy was talking to me about the vg being super clean and organic and blah blah, so... i got kinda paranoid like, i dont wanna waste the money on some soap based vg or whatever he told me... i just wanna have some on hand for when im hard up on cash lol... i just spent the last of my money on some kinda spendy juice and i hate it!!!! so I wanna staple i like while i try other flavors, cuz i cant even vape this crap, im about to toss it...

Before you mix anything do lots of research, the threads in this forum has lots of good info! Keep in mind SAFETY FIRST with nicotine, use a nic calculator and recheck till you really get the hang of it. It is pretty easy. For a good supplier Bull City Vapor [my favorite vendor] has everything you will need except nic. ECigExpress has pretty much everything you will need including nic. You might want to get some bottles and syringes[for measuring] also. For flavoring I'd sugest Flavor Art. Good luck and do your research! Keep it foggy. :)

A tip for making your own juice, do mixing by weight. It's much quicker than by volume. See http://vapingunderground.com/threads/guide-to-mixing-by-weight.22891/
I'm getting my supplies from the following places.

Bottles (you have to order according caps):
http://packagingoptionsdirect.com/glass-bottles-jars

Nicotine base:
http://www.usa-laboratories.com

VG/PG:
(VG = Vegetable Glycerin, or short Glycerin, PG = Propylene Glycol)
http://www.usa-laboratories.com
http://www.chemworld.com/default.asp

Flavors:
Best brand for flavors is FlavourArt (FA). Besides flavors you might need a sweetener. Usually Sucralose is used for that. I'm using the one made by The Flavor Apprentice (TFA).
http://www.bullcityvapor.com (BCV)
http://www.flavorjungle.com
http://www.ecigexpress.com - WA (West coast) - (ECX)
Coupon Codes:
BCV - permanent (6%?) - VU6 (maybe vu6)
ECX - permanent 10% - UNDERGROUND10

E-Liquid Calculator:
As a registered user, you can enter all your flavors in the "flavor stash" (in the drop down menu under your user name), and search for public recipes in two ways ("Search by flavor stash" or "What can I make"). With the "Create recipe", you can create your own mix and save it off. You'll find those under "My Page" in the drop down menu under your user name

Welcome to DIY! Please don't take this the wrong way..but a thread like yours is posted at LEAST once every couple of days. As stated before...you need to read and do the research before you begin this. It'll save you lots of time, money and headaches in the long run. Below is a link to where you should start:

http://vapingunderground.com/forums/how-to-diy-tutorials.51/

When you are researching flavors, understand 1 thing. Most of the people here use Flavourart flavorings almost exclusively. The majority of the recipes you will see posted here are using Flavourart flavorings. If you want to do recipes to learn how flavors work together, buy the flavors AS LISTED. Sometimes you can just substitute whatever you have that's close, but it's never as good in my opinion. Ok, there's my 2 cents...now get to reading young lady! :) And again welcome to VU!

You came to the right place to learn Heather, I did the same thing a couple of months ago and have gained a lot of knowledge from all the great people around here.

Some just asked a very similar question in this thread and there is a lot of info that would be relevant for you as well: http://vapingunderground.com/threads/best-flavoring-brand.129661/

soulshine makes a great point as well, different flavor makers have different flavor percentages so stick with what the recipe calls for until you get more experience. If a recipe calls for 1% FlavourArt (FA) flavoring and you try and substitute it with a brand like Capella which usually starts in the 5% range then the recipe will be really off. When I started I used FA Orange in a recipe that called for TFA Orange Cream, since the TFA flavor is a lot weaker that juice was just dominated by the Orange flavor.

I am so happy I started to DIY my own juice, the initial startup is a little pricey but in the long run you will save a lot. It is also a lot more fun than I was expecting and as I learn more my juices are really getting to be better than what I can buy.

Personally, before I started DIY I read through the forums here, just to get an idea of how to mix, and what flavorings I was gonna try out, there's a huge amount of info to go through, but the more research you do, the less money you'll waste buying flavorings that don't suit you.

good to know thank you... i did read the reviews but i didnt know what i was doing actually and everyone has their own opinion on whats good so i was gonna go with the general consensus.. ill prob try those then to start small... see how i like doing it...

also are most of the recipes by weight? i saw someone say that its better to weigh.. but, i dont have that technology yet...

i know, i need to read, ill get to that....

sorry for redundant thread... thats annoying...
im sure everyone asks... i just didnt see a fav list on bases

And also I believe I'm the oddball here because I do buy my VG from Amazon, but mainly because I get amazon gift cards alot for sales contests at work, so for me it's free VG. I don't go by weight yet, you can get pretty good with syringes, or even droppers if you're careful.
