You need to change your target VG at the bottom left side to 100% VG.

The end result for just a base should be;

7.5mls nic
52.5 mls VG

That is, if you are going for max VG
oh nevermind i realized i have the flavor % at 20 so it was calculating wrong!!
so my next question is, once i have my base and want to create the juice using flavors(obviously) how would i input that into the calculator?
would it be easier to just make the base 50/50 and then mix accordingly?
i really apreciate the ongoing help with this guys! ill eventually get it ahaha

i think i learned my lesson by getting my nicotine in 100% VG lol

what im trying to do ultimately is make 3mg juices at 80/20 VG/PG using a pre-mixed nicotine base that i want to make out of my 24nic 100%VG

If your going to use a pre-made nic base at 80/20 then 100% VG nic was the right choice. The PG will come from the flavors.

Neither the nic content nor the VG/PG ratio will be accurate in the finished juice but if close counts just make the base you calculated.

For flavors, the math is pretty easy. I posted about that a few posts back. I never messed with the calculator to do it that way so I can't help there. For me, I think I could do the math in my head faster than putting them in the calculator.

Mostly, I think I just confused myself. Hopefully, I haven't confused you too much. :)

so lets say i am making 15ml bottles that have 3 flavors that make up the juice.
2 flavors have 8% and one has 4% which totals 20% flavor.

20% flavor in 15ml is 0.2mls.
15x20%=0.2
14.8mls base+0.2mls flavor=15mls total

how do i fit 3 flavors into 0.2mls ahaha thats what i got out of the breakdown you explained in that previous post

20% of 15 is 3. You will be adding 3 ml of total flavoring. Use a syringe to measure each flavor and add it to the bottle. You can also use a scale, but I dont think you are ready for that.

did i really do that math wrong? math was never my strong suit! ahaha
i do have a scale that measures in mls that i use.
thanks dude for that correction.
i like how you guys are being helpful i appreciate all your replies.

Yes you did. 20% is 0.2. 0.2 x 15 is 3. I have never heard of a scale that does mls because different liquids have different weighta.

I think you forgot to mulitlply 20% to your total amount (15). 20% of 1 is 0.2

You need a scale that does .00 grams.

I suggest you stick to syringes for a while till you get the hang of it.

If your scale can do 0.00 grams it will work. I just meant use syringes till you get some experience.

im not worried about the measurements themselves.
my issue was the calculations on mixes for recipes.
im pretty sure Time helped me on that, and then you reminding me on how much i suck at math ahaha

Sorry I checked out of the conversation, my power went out. @efektt is right. 20% for 15 mls is 3mls. So you'll need 12mls of base. But,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,you'll need 1.2mls each for the 8% flavors and 0.6ml for the 4% flavor. So, the recipe will look like this;

Flavor 1: 1.2mls
Flavor 2: 1.2mls
Flavor 3: 0.6mls
Nic base: 12mls

The math looks like this.

15 X 0.08(8%) = 1.2mls Flavor 1 and 2
15 X 0.04(4%) = 0.6mls Flavor 3

1.2 + 1.2 + 0.6 = 3mls

3 - 15 = 12mls base. Sorry for this really simple one, I'm thorough. :p

In contrast, if I was to make the same juice without the pre-made nic base(I don't make a pre-made base), it would look like this;

Nic 1.88ml
PG 0ml
VG 10.12ml
Flav 1 1.2ml
Flav 2 1.2ml
Flav 3 0.6ml

The juice calculator did all the math, I'm only measuring one more ingredient, and, my nic and PG/VG ratio is exact.

Time, that last part is according to my 100%VG 24mg nicotine that I have? Or that's with your ingredients? PG is 0 assuming the flavors are PG base like OBDave said...

That's using your ingredients. Yes, the PG is zero for an 80/20 VG/PG with 20% flavor because the PG flavors make the 20PG. If I used less flavor percent, it would require adding a bit of PG to keep the 80/20 ratio.

I use 100mg/ml PG based nic and do not use a pre-made base. I just mix what the juice calculator tells me to mix.

so i had an extremely long day. my goddaughters first birthday party then rushing my mom to the hosital. but at about midnight i found the time to make my base and first juice. its a little thinner then i expected and tweak the flavoring ratios but the nic is on point.
my next thing to do is to make a max vg(100%)nic base and use make 80/20 recipes.
im getting the hang of this...i used my food scale on ml mode for the whole numbers and syringes for the .00s
i thank @Time and @OBDave and @efektt and whoever else gave input to this noob in the game of DIY juices...
ill continue to bullshit with you guys and come back for any questions i need answers to and help anyway i can with any vapin related questions

Welcome to mixing - I held off doing it for over a year and can't believe I didn't get into it sooner!

I like @wllmc and Mama J's Juice for flavorings only, and @Roundhouse with Bull City Vapor for the whole sheebang - flavors, nic, PG/VG, bottles, mixing supplies...though PG and VG can get expensive to buy in small bottles and to ship due to weight. Another site to check out for your bases is Essential Depot, I picked up 2 gallons of VG for less than $50 shipped when they were having a sale a while back - even though BCV is great on price for flavorings and supplies and served me well with a few 450 ml bottles of base to get started, it would cost almost that much to get a half-gallon of base shipped cross-country...

Ecigexpress. They sell everything you need. Pg,vg,nic base, bottles and just about every flavor you can think of. I highly recommend flavourart for flavors. Just about all their flavors are really good and they go a long way (1% to 5%). They always have a 10% coupon floating out their too.

Depending of the nic level your trying to achieve, start off with 36mg. If your trying for a high nic level, buy the 100mg but make sure you wear gloves and eye protection. The larger the bottle you buy, the better the savings. If you buy the 100mg in a 30ml bottle you pay about 27cent a ml but the 250ml bottle drops the cost to 11cents a ml
