Well, I settled at about 45 watts :)

My older RTAs are now disappointing though

On my first tank of my Bellus today. So far no complaints and quicker to wick than my Griffin. No leaks yet. At least I'm back to a 5ml tank again. It was messy sometimes filling the Griffin so often.

If you're a flavor whore the SMOK tfv4 tank is the best...so much so I cant use anything else because the flavor is just not as good like it is with this tank. Im using the mini actually and cloud production and flavor is as good as any dripping set up. THE only con really is 3.5ml of juice is gone in like 20 vapes. Anybody have any tanks similar to the SMOK tfv4 flavor effectiveness but holds more juice?

The TFV4 is an excellent tank if you want to use pre made heads, but as far as rebuilding goes there are far better options.

In general, I think a shorter chimney produces a little more flavor. Since you mention 3.5 ml, I assume you have the tfv4 Mini? The full size tfv4 holds 5.0 ml. I think the similar Coral does as well, and can use tfv4 coils. There are other larger cloud tanks, like the CCI Triforce and Maus, Mutank, and Arctic V8.

For rebuildable, RTA, there are several, and can produce better flavor. Boreas, Aromamizer Supreme, Herakles RTA, Griffin, Billow v3. The Mutank has a rebuildable section and prebuilt coils. Triforce also, with an upgrade kit.

Have you tried tfv4 T4 and T8 coils, quad and oct Clapton? Maybe in full size tfv4 or Coral....... Boreas probably best, but only rebuildable.

Thank you for the response I will pick up a couple of those tanks and see what I think. I need to get a more powerful mod for the quad head because it barely fires at 70w probably need to to run it at 100.

Day 2 with the Bellus. Even thought it stays drier, if I mount the coils high (low and even with air holes may sweat or leak a bit), I am beginning to think the Griffin is a denser vape.
So I would recommend, try a lot of tanks. FYI, my Griffin has 28 awg, 8 turns on 0.1" I.D. 0.67 ohm total and the Bellus has 26 awg coils that come with it which are also 8 turns 0.1" I.D. 0.5 ohm total, both at 25 watts. Dammit while writing this my Griffin is sticky. Have to get a napkin.

Update: Griffin working well today. Used 26 awg (previously 28, 7 wrap had dry hits at 30W), 8 wrap, 0.1" ID (2.5mm), total 0.5 ohm and turned up the wattage to 30W, coils higher off deck. No leaks today. Definitely better that the Bellus. Denser vape. Only 3.5ml though.
