Hey, all! Pretty new to the vape game and found this forum very helpful so far. I bought a cfiber 100w 3000mah. It's got a smokjoy facetank on it now and love it. Reading up on it, it says that any atomizer can go on it and it'll convert it by itself. My question is, what are some of the better atomizers out there? Thanks in advance!

I started with a standard level vape pen. It was made by tasty puff. My problem with these was that I was fresh off cigarettes and looking for an alternative. Being very ignorant to vaping, I just hauled off the pen like I would a cigarette and burned out quite a few coils. I got a good deal on the unit I have now and started doing minor research on the more advanced ones. The atomizer I have now "pops" and I assume that's the juice cooking. Is there any that maybe don't do that as much? This is the piece is use now. Sorry for the wall 'o text!

Get a good RTA (I like the Crown and SMOK TFV4), slap some good SS or TI coils (toss the pen and invest in a decent TC unit) in them fill it up with your favorite juice and hit it hard.....no more burnt coils, cotton and nasty taste. One thing though...these type tanks won't work well with a "pen type" (if at all) you need at least a 40-60 watt (or more mod) to get these tanks to hum. Those pen type in my opinion are for the light dabbler "I'm kool" crowd......somebody coming off the "stinkies" especially a heavy smoker will be much better served by a mid to high range reg mod and decent tank as most will allow for those deep long lung hits a smoker is used to.....the cheap pen type are OK for Mouth to lung, but that's NOT what most smokers are used to........been there, done that, burnt holes in the T-shirt....

You can get a pretty high end mod and tank for around the price of 2 cartons of brand name Stinkies these days..........a bargain in my opinion.............especially considering you won't have to buy the stinkies no more........ejuice and coils are wayyyy cheaper that stinkies........price of 2 paks of stinkies will get enough juice and coils to last a week or two instead of one day....then if you get into DIY juicing............the cost drops way further....

Thanks for the reply. I have no complaints with what I have now. Hits like I want it to and gives off just the right amount of vape. I read that for this mod, I can attach any atomizer to the top and just go because it'll adjust by itself. My only concern was the popping while dragging off of it. Very new to the vape game but I've been without a single cigarette for over a month now. I use 21mg e-juice but plan on going down as time goes on.

Good for you! Smoked 42 years...quit cold for 2yrs got the urge again, picked up the vape instead of stinkies and been enjoying the flavors at 3mg (don't know why I even still add the nic...habit I guess lol).
All RTA's and atomizers will occasionally pop or sizzle ( a little spit gets in pipe and hits coil ...pop, pop sizzle). the better the RTA and more stable the mod and these issues almost go away.....LOL that and practice!

Glad you quit the stinkies! Stay the course!

Thanks! I knew I'd need help but didn't want to try the patch or the pill. Vaping seems to be a happy medium for me while still getting my nic-fix! I'll take the 4 ingredients on the juice compared to throw 700 in cigs any day!

I think what I'll do is head down to a local shop and maybe try some different atomizers on my mod and see if I like any others. Now I just need to figure out when it's time to buy a new mod once it "runs out".

congrats on getting off the smokes, that's huge!!!
a little bit of smack, crackle and pop is ok at lower power, it happens Then the coil gets dry and then wet again...
If what you are using is working for you, then by all means keep with it, You aren't smoking, and that is all that matters! -That's the point behind vaping.

IF you do decide to look at other gear, by all means figure out your price range and feature sets you want before taking a hard look

Thanks for the reply. I mostly just want to make sure I have supplies on the ready incase mine breaks for whatever reason. Right now, I know it's heavy enough to double as a police baton and it helps me stay away from the smokes! I bought it all assembled and the only info I got was that it had a new coil. I know it's a smokjoy 1000w 3000mah. I'm pretty sure that's the battery? And the top is a smokjoy facetank.

You can put any tank or dripper you like on it, and it will work so long as the coil value is greater than .1Ω, according to the description. "Self Adjusting" is a fancy way of saying "you can't adjust it." I am having a hard time understanding how it works from the description. Apparently the Facetank has only Ni coils available, which would mean the machine has TC circuitry. Presumably if you put something with a resistance wire coil on it, it would recognize this and bump to wattage mode. I have no idea what wattage the machine actually puts out but, if you're are really vaping 21mg nic on a .1Ω or .4Ω coil, I don't think it will be 100W. That would paralyze a charging rhinoceros.

In any event, if you are satisfied with the vape, and it's keeping you off the sticks, then you're doing it right. Vape on!

Thanks for the reply. Very new to vaping so some of the language is still new to me. The vape I get now is doing just fine. Probably still going to talk to the guys in the next town just to get more educated on it. Loving it so far though

the most important things for you to learn are ohms law; and how it applies to vaping as well as battery safety.
also there is a wealth of information here http://vapingunderground.com/forums/how-do-i-get-started.35/
that section will get you started on some good brushing up. the first thread has some explanations of the lingo as well as ohms law. the second has some videos.
you got this dude!
