Welcome to VU, Jesse...
If you built a 0.5Ω DC RDA with 28 ga. Kanthal, with adequate wicking -
even though the air holes on an Igo-W are pretty small and should be enlarged to 1.5~2mm (or more) - you should have decent warmth, a nice snap-crackle-pop sound when you hit the button and good flavor/vapor.
If you have none of that, then chances are you have a continuity issue with the mech... and although unlikely, perhaps with the atty as well. Either will result in voltage drop, and "resistive heating" in the mech.
- What brand battery, and Is it battery fully charged - what is your voltage?
- Is any part of the mech getting warm... like say, the button?
- Do you own a DMM (digital multi-meter)?
- If yes to #2 & #3... do you know how to conduct voltage, continuity and resistance tests?
- If no to #4... here's how.
- If after #4 & #5, you've found no problems, do you have a variable speed hand drill and a decent set of HSS or cobalt drill bits? Enlarge the air holes.
