New to vaping need advice

I have been a heavy smoker for 22 years and so far this has been the closest thing I have found that satisfies my addiction. I don't care about giant clouds I want a good warm tasty mouth to lung hit. I have been using 24 mg e-liquid. I am a diy type of guy so making my own juice really appeals to me as well but that is a subject for another forum I am sure.

I am fairly new to vaping so bear with me please. I want to give as much information as possible .I was using a Crown 7 Gladiato xl 1300mh variable voltage battery With an Aspire K1

I say was as you can see from the photo both batteries are broken one came apart and one has a stuck button.
I am currently dealing with their customer service and they may make it right. Time will tell. I was always running it on max 4.8 volts. I really liked the k1 compared to the other clearomizers I have used so far. I have been looking at an upgrade.

ASPIRE NAUTILUS MINI or the 5 ml one

do I need more power to run this or is it just a better clearomizer?
What would I need to run it?

I have also been considering a Triton 2 but I know nothing at all about how those things work I am on a limited budget but aspire has so far impressed me any advice would be welcome thank you in advance

The need for power is dependent on the ohm's you are using. Typically mouth to lung is around 1 ohm and up, and those little batteries won't last long, if you do get it to fire. I use 1.2 to 1.5 ohm gear, and it gives a nice warm vape. I would suggest a small form factor 18650 vary watt mod, ones in the 60-80 watt range, like a EVIC mini VTC, for longevity and consistency of vape.

Me, too. Plus, it would be suitable for a Nautilus and would allow for other gear as you grow with vaping.

I'll back the others who are suggesting a 50-60 watt mod - more than you'll need for the Nautilus, but good battery life and room to grow. I'd stay away from the Triton for now, the draw is going to be airer than you'll want and cloud production is going to be so large you'll gag on 24 mg.

Welcome to VU, I had the exact same issue with those batteries when I started vaping 2 years ago. They kept breaking on me, so I went ahead and got a solid well built mod and never looked back.
I got myself what was eventually replaced with the nautilus mini. The triton2mini tank is also nice. I think you would be served well with either one of those for good warm, flavorful mouth to lunch hit. For a mod, the vtcmini that was suggested would be fine. But with it, you will want a pair of good 18650 batteries and a charger. I know co,pared to the pen some of this sounds overwhelming. It's not, it's the best way to get what you will need, and complet your conversion to the dark side.
Samsung 25r are probably the best all around easy to find battery,

If you do get the Triton V2, I recommend getting the 1.8 Ohm replacement coils. It would be better suited for MTL inhale. In addition, you don't need as much power, thus the battery will last longer.
For the mod, I also recommend the Evic VTC Mini. It's the best bang for the buck, especially with the Firmware upgrade to Version 3.0, which can be done easily if needed. The 18650 battery required for the mod, can be charged via the USB. However, on the long run, you want to get a charger for it. All good advice from everyone. The eVic mini with the V3 upgrade is all the device you will need for a long time.
Samsung 25R is your best bet, others are Sony VTC5, LG HE2 or HE4or HG2 all good batteries.
For now it won't hurt to charge it in the mod but down the road you'll find that 2 batteries and a charger makes life easier.

Spending money up front sucks but you will save a lot over the long run.

I have been vaping for 2 1/2 years. Haven't touched a cig since.
I never cared to buy the expensive mods etc. I mix my own juice, rebuild my own coils. I suggest you get the joyetech cuboid. Im currently using it with a kangertech subtank using temperature control. You can control everything from how hot it gets to how fast it heats up. People that say temp. control sucks don't understand how it works and how to use it correctly.

Welcome to VU. Newby here as well but learning. I have the triton2 the nautilus and the nautilus mini. All tanks work well for mouth to lung. like they said above 1.8 ohm coils work great. I started with those stick pens as well and they worked for a while but run out easily and go bad easily. Eleaf has a nice line of batteries for you to pic from that are really inexpensive. I just ordered one from gearbest for 24.00 the tc 100w. If you ever interested for higher watting and tc and subohm. But the istick 30w will run all three of those tanks easily and with a passthrough charger that will let you charge and vape at same time. Just up to you and your wallet. Good news Crown 7 did me right they sent me two new batteries and a brand new other thing we are not supposed to mention here and 9 extra coils for said thing. I am back to vaping and a very happy camper now I can save up and buy the mod I want and the tanks I am satisfied enough with pens for now.
to get me by and can also try my hand at diy juice
