Newb question about clean up and disposal ?

Hi Folks,

I finally did it. I bought 120ml of 100mg nic and transferred it to (3) 30ml bottles-(so I have some more manageable 24mg nic to work with), then a portion to a 50ml bottle and finally the remaining to (2) 10 ml bottles. I used a particulate face mask (the kind with the knob in the front) of course wore gloves, safety glasses and a long shirt to protect arms. I also put a fan in the window where I was working. To say the least I was sweating by the time I was done as I WAS nervous.

MY question is what do you do with the leftovers after using 100mg nic?

I used a towel for a table covering but dripped a couple of times. Should I just throw that in the washer along with the long sleeved shirt I was wearing?

What about the bottle the original nic came in? Can I rinse it out and recycle it?

I used a funnel to fill the bottles....should I also just rinse out and if so is it safe in the kitchen sink? Will it containment my dishes or sink?

Should worry about anything I touched, like the scale I used....perhaps I had a drip on my gloves and wiped it off but there's still some amount left on the finger tips when I was pushing the buttons.

I tried searching for "disposal container nic" but came up with nothing and have read a few tutorials but I don't recall anything coming up about cleaning up. Sorry to sound so paranoid but all of what I've read says you DO NOT want to have (health) issues with coming in contact with the 100mg nic.

if you only were using 100mg/ml that was over kill. I am glad you are practicing safe rather then sorry so props to you. the things you did are what people do for like 300mg/ml or higher

i get 100mg/ml on my hands all the time and its no issue for me

to clean up soap and water is fine. 100mg/ml is not as toxic as i think you are thinking
i have reused bottles that came with 100mg/ml for juices and had no issues
just washed them out thoroughly with soap and water

you should not vape it at 100/mg/ml you should not ingest it. I mean a drop is not going ot kill you
you should not let kids or animals lick up a spill cuz too much at once will poison any living thing

good job being safe but relax a little bit.
wash the towel in the washer with your other towels
wash your equipment with soap and water
you will be fine

Jeez dude. I've spilled 100mg nic all over my hands, many times. I've had 100mg nic in my eye. Burned like hell, but what a RUSH !! Just clean it up with a damp rag, and it will be fine. Throw your clothes in the washer. Yes you can rinse the bottle and reuse it.

Yes.

I have, as long as I know it's THOROUGHLY rinsed out.

Hot water and dish soap, let dry, store as usual.

I predict in your future of DIY.
No gloves
No goggles
No facemask
Mixing near a sink.
Having a drop or 2 on your hand and not even noticing til you go to clean up

I do wash the counter down, before and after I mix.

LOL thanks guys !!! better to be safe than sorry.

This reminds me of the question I asked when I started homebrewing....if I needed to sanitize the pot prior to boiling wort. It just was never really posted anywhere than anything above 150* is sanitized from heat.

Off to find some shake and vape recipes

First time transferring to 32oz bottles last night - 2lbs ea. 7 liters in 7 growlers and 4 smaller bottles. I ran out of 32 oz bottles and hubby and I figured we'll need wider mouth funnels than 3/8. That 100vg nic is thick.

He was like, 'git'er done' at first, complaining of the smell. Then I gave him a 101 lesson and by the end he was all freaked out about his gloves, goggles, the table, rubbed down the bottles with alcohol wipes so I could put labels on them, etc. I have 4 liters of nic left. Not to mention 8 gallons of pg/vg. and my flavoring we haven't dealt with yet. I'll break down the rest of the nic gradually in smaller bottles but need Amazon for that.

Correct me, but can I freeze pg/vg alone in the freezer in the white plastic bottles since they're food grade? Oh, wait. They're clear plastic.
