Newbie Advise

Just started vaping last week, now as i read through information I need some advise on the following

-Dagger mod
-Super Tank Mini
-0.2ohm Coils
-6mg juices

I like vaping light and smooth and do not like throat hits. Do like clouds. Vape only during evenings while watching TV or working. Not a chain vaper.

1) I like to vape on low Watt like 20-25W but the specs state that i should be vaping between 40-80W which is quite a hit for me

2) Should I be looking at changing my Tank / Coil? any suggestions on tanks for my preference? I do understand that 25W on a sub-ohm 0.2 coil will not be similar as 25W on 1ohm coil tank. hence confused.

3) After 3 days of vaping I am facing major leaking issues, the moment i leave the mod idle for a few minutes, all the juice leaks out. I cleaned the tank and refitted the coil and o-rings tight enough, I still face leaking. Also increased the Wattage to 40 but that does not help. The leaks are from airflow area. Could coil be an issue? It seems ok and not burnt at all yet.

Please assist.

1. If you like the vape you get at 25 watts, then by all means vape it at that. Vape whatever power you like as long as you don't strain your batteries of overtax your coils, and at 25 watts on those coils stated for 40 watts, no problem there.

2. Same as #1. If you like a cool vape, and you're getting it, don't worry about the ohms. Think of ohms like a water hose where your .2 ohm coil equates to a 1 inch hose and the 1 ohm coil equals a 1/2 inch diameter hose. When you turn the water on, the 1 inch hose will move say, a gallon of water a lot faster than the half inch hose at a given pressure (your battery voltage).

So, with lower resistance to current flow, the .2 ohm coil will give you more vapor at a given voltage than a 1 ohm coil. In a regulated mod, at 25 watts, your mod may supply 4.5 volts to the coil with a .2 ohm coil, but when you increase the resistance to 1 ohm, it might have to boost the voltage to say, 6 volts to supply that same 25 watts. It's still 25 watts, it's just that the regulator in the mod will increase the voltage to supply enough current to give you 25 watts.

I hope that all makes sense to you. I'm not real great at explaining stuff like that.

3. If you're getting leaks from the airflow slots with a factory coil, chances are good that you have a bad coil. I don't know what juice ratio you're using. If it's 50/50 vg/pg, or 60/40, you might try 70/30 or 80/20 because more vg means thicker consistency and might not run out on you as quick, but I'd probably change the coil first.

Cleaned the tank, Changed the Coil to 0.5ohm, all tight and snug, all o-rings and seals look ok and fit tight. Primed the coil, Filled little juice with Air Flow closed, refilled it from top again after use, all was ok for 2 hours. Kept the mod alone for 30 minutes, juice vanished and all leaked from airflow when i picked it up. Ideas?

My only other idea is a poor seal at the topcap, but you probably checked that ring too. At this point, I'd contact whoever I bought it from and ask for a refund or exchange.

Sorry hear that. I forgot to ask you what tank is it?

You may want to take it to the vape shop you bought it from and see what they say, or see if there's a tobecco website and contact them. I was ( and still am) a fan of the supertank series ( I have the mini, full size and turbo tanks) and have never had that problem. I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but I'd do what I said earlier. Good luck!

Super tank mini is fine if it tastes good to you at 25 watts. My fav tank is the kanger top/sub tank mini.. I vape low also, around 19-25 watts and that's my happy place. It's all about what works for you, not necessarily what is recommended. :)

As far as the leaky tank... are you sure it's fresh juice and not just the condensate that builds up? Is it a large amount of juice or just a few spots? Also, I agree with the thicker juice. The lower the ohms, the hotter the juice gets which thins it out. If you are not using at least a 70vg mix, this could cause leaking issues.

One other thing... and believe me this happens a lot with new vapers... are you putting the juice down the center hole when you fill it?

Those r good points. If all else fails, visit the shop u bought it from

Thank you all, just a quick update on the issue. It seems that the leak is due to seal rings not fitting in place whenever I open the tank for a wash / change coil. I have to go through a painful trial and error after which things fit perfectly in place.

Glad you got it sorted out.
