newbie spent major money and not happy help

So ya i started heavy vaping 9 months ago and started with a ego kit and crap tanks and been working my way up. I Have bought so so many tanks and they all were bad for me , they lose their vap production after a few days or sucked to begin with.

I have bought numerous ce5 evod vivi nova , a ton of different kangers , davides , and numerous others and none have worked well exept plastic Ismoka bcc and have 3 batterys always on the go cause i like having different flavors and i vape alot. My mistake has been buying 4 or 5 tanks at a time before trying them.

So i have done a ton of reaserch and decided to try RDA's and well liked tanks and purchase 2 expensive batteries.
I just ordered on sale 4 nautalis minis and 2 regular and bvc coils for on the go and for use in my twists
and box mods were so numerous and i looked at 10 of the top ones and decided with the hex ohm but it looked like a exp user device so i decided to go with a vaporshark rdna 30 for $189 and a provari as my 2 batteries.
provari 3 is coming out probably soon i hear so im gonna wait for it and use a vaporshark for now

So now my big question is this , i dont think i like dripping cause it aint mobile but i still want one for home so from youtube videos i decided to go with a kayfun lite for going out and whatever for a good quality RDA
I seen that quality rda are a ton of money wich i dont mind but seems as im new might that not be risky?

Should i get a kayfun and a quality dripper? or for the price of 1 single kayfun i could get the folowing clones
magma by infinite , kayfun lite v2 by ehpro , brass kraken by hcigar and a fogger V4? "from same place"
What should i do? if they are gonna suck i wont but i am new so please help

First of all I welcome you here!

Sorry you had to learn the hard way that anything that starts with CE SUCKS!

The Kayfuns are great as well as being easy to build. Vaping one right now attached to a Hana clone from Focal.

One thing I would advise is for you to get one new toy and learn to use it properly before purchasing another.

The rDNA should serve you quite well.

For an RDA you might want to try one of the Patriot clones to get started with and they can be found for $5.

Me, I can build and use RDAs just to test E-Liquids and that is my only use for them.

I just want to build my coil and wick assembly, fill the tank and hit the road with a happy vape!

kayfun lite v2 by ehpro Or Taifun GT buy HCIGAR, Don't have the filling issues with the Taifun, you do with a kayfun.

I use clearomizers only so I can only give input on those devices, but from what info I have gathered, the clones on the RBA's and RDA's work just as good as the full priced "collectors" versions...You can always sell off the items you don't like. I watch CL on a daily bases for clones and vape related items to go up on sale, they never stay on more than a day, they sell fast. I personally think spending money on the clones is a better option for starting out, except for the coils you use on the tanks and such, I suggest you buy originals for safety and quality reasons.

so get those 4 clones instead of buying 2 origional kayfun and quality rda?
Im in canada and shipping is alot and no local store so i wanna do it all at once and most of ALL do it right. I am set on getting everything at once
and i have the money to buy whatever "spending $400 on batteries alone" so if the real deals are gonna be 40% better and up i would rather have the real deal , only drawback would be i wouldnt get to try a variety.

The EHPRO and HCIGAR are the top quality clones out there. I need tanks because of work, can't answer on dripping from much experience.

Infinite Magma is very much quality at low cost..

I think Uncles advice is right on..

The Rdna is all you will ever need at this time anyway..

There are many clone Kayfuns that are good..

I have been using a 3,1 Kayfun for over a year with no problems at all made by infinite and have never had a problem with it.. I dont want to spend 200 bucks on a genuine if I dont have to.. Using a Kayfun clone right now on a Rdan and it is real nice.. Good luck! and Success!

I think aerotank for work russian if you want to build dripping is hard at first but for my part as soon as I get a pause or I get home it dripping all the way I only buy clone and they all work great for peep in Canada don't forget that fast teck have free shipping and great price and they even have some genuine piece
I bought a dreadnut and a kryptonite from alibaba and it cost me 58$ in delivery fees cause I was in a rush the same week ft as a dreadnut for the same price but free shipping and to top it of I prefer the one I receive from fast teck so my plan for the future is that when I want something new I take a breath and wait 2 more week for China clone and save a lot on shipping plus cape mail is so much fun mostly with China it so long that you forget and it become a surprise when it arrive ;)

Be sure to check out the Deals and Steals section, especially the International section. Tyger is from Canada as well. Get with her and she can tell you the best places to get different things to you there.

well i just pulled the trigger so thanks for youre help.
Seems how i have the money i went with the real deal kayfun lite v2 and vaporshark just called and shipping it out is gonna take forever so i went ahead and ordered from the same site i got the kayfun and there only box mods were the ones called hana modz but they were $10 more at $200 but i went ahead anyway.

im still gonna order the magma and kraken clones cause im ordering my cotton , jig and wire there anyway. So i hope i made the right choice. Still have to wait for provari 3 too come out though

Kayfun is nice… Wicking is the trick on that one so I STRONGLY recommend you look up the "navy nest" wicking method on youtube and wick it that way. That method has worked the best for me by far in the kayfun.

The Magma is an excellent dripper for flavor.. Not the greatest on vapor production but not a slouch either.

For the Kayfun I would recommend your builds stay above 1.0 ohms.. The heat can mess up the insulator on those pretty quick if you build lower.

The Magma seems to handle lower ohms just fine but so far I have personally never run it lower than .7 ohms on a dual parallel coil build.

Your Mods sound fine and should last you a long time!!

Good advice on the Kayfun build.

It would have been even better if you included a link to the best instructions on the Navy Vest method.

Regarding coils...................

I normally shoot for a 2.0 ohm build.

But sometimes I go all "funky" and do a 1.5 ohm build.

The trick to avoiding a toasty insulator on the Kayfun is to allow space between the coil and the deck right over the air hole.

I like to leave about two to three MM space over the hole in question.

This is the first I ever heard of the navy nest. Just built one last night and solved all of my wicking issues. Thanks! From my searches, it looks like this is the only mention if this on the forum. People need to know about it, mind if I start a thread?

Not at all…. Please do actually. So far I have not found a better way to wick a kayfun and to be honest I have run that wicking method all the way to .5 ohms in a kayfun with very good results.

The only thing I have ever noticed as an issue is high VG juice takes a bit of priming to get the wick going properly. Like after a fresh rebuild or when refilling. I have solved this by priming often until my air bubble gets to be about 15 to 20% of the size of the tank. And warming the juice up before refilling or filling for the first time.

Otherwise I think it is the best method out there so please share away!!

i am new so i have no idea what you mean by making wicks certain ohms. How do you make them different ohms? and whats the difference? will hana modz tell me the ohms?

also shouldnt i use cotton in kayfun and not silica? also on fastech they have packs of Replacement Wicks and Wires for Rebuildable Atomizer

should i get those?

I wouldn't buy pre made wicks and coils. Others might but I wouldn't…

Yes I think cotton is better then silica… Others have their own opinions as to the best wicking media. I suggest you do some research on wicking media and make your own choices. I use cotton because it is easy for me to work with and is readily available.

Ohms…. Well…. That in itself is a topic all its own. If you are getting into rebuildables you have a lot of research to do. Unfortunately I am not an encyclopedia on the subject as there is MUCH to learn. I am fairly new as well and still have my own trail and error moments.

May I suggest looking up some youtube videos on wicking and coil building. Perhaps even look up how ohms work. A google search on ohms law may help. There are also many smartphone apps available that do calculations to tell you what specific ohms draw and so on.

I like videos by Rip Trippers (lots of coil building videos) - Grimm Green (also a lot of helpful information) - PBusardo (more information) - and VapingwithTwisted420 (more down to earth reviews etc..) I am sure there are many more to choose from but those are some of my favorites.

I'm running .8 ohms and it's kicking ass. This has actually solved my pruning issues. Before, I found myself repriming my tank like 10 times a day. I've been chain vaping this all day and not a single dry hit.

Well I am extremely happy this is working so well for you.. I myself was amazed when I first tried it. Haven't gone back to any other method since. Every time I rebuild my kayfuns they get the navy nest.

beleve me i have watched over 50 videos. When making a coil is it the more wraps the bigger or smaler the ohms , is that how it works or is it size? should i buy a ohm meter for $10 on fastech or does hana mod have one?

The more wraps you have on a single coil, the higher the ohms. Also, the larger the wraps on a single coil, the higher the ohms. However, the thicker the wire, the lower the ohms and if you run more than one coil in parallel, your ohms will be lower as well.
I think of it like this: the more wire the electricity has to go through lengthwise, the higher the resistance. The more wire there is to carry the current widthwise, the lower the resistance.
I think the Hana has a meter, but I don't have a dna30 device to confirm. I have a cheap multimeter that I use a lot. I found it very helpful starting out because I could measure the coils before and after installing them.

I'm a 7 month newbie and I don't own a dripper. I am very happy with the NAUTILUS Aspire Adjustable Airflow Tank. It holds a log of ejuice and the vaping production is awesome. I think for tanks, you would really like this one. Good Luck!

1 x Brass Kraken Clone by HCigar
1 x Panzer mech mod Clone by EHPRO
1 x Magma RDA Clone by Infinite
1 x Coil Jig
1 x Japanese Organic Cotton (5 Pack)

If you got money to burn, more power to you. Personally I would have went with one of the new 100w box mods, a kayfun clone (black edition v3 was the best one I ever tried), a copper mech mod clone with solid copper pins, a plume veil dripper, more kanthal size options and some sony vtc4 or 5 batteries (why did you get 10amp batteries?).

PLEASE look into the 3D RDA by tobecco! So like a kayfun it has an area to hold juice but you have a full size building deck so your not limited on what could you want to build. And when your cotton is dry just push on the top of the tank and it pumps more liquid onto your wick.

After using both the Taifun GT is much easier to build and wick than the Kayfun - but both are great beginner RBA's that produce great flavor/vapor.

The magma dripper clone is supposed to be great, but the mutation X and plume veil are getting rave reviews as well

You did VERY good. However, unless you are using it on a yacht, a private jet, or in a Lamborghini, the flavor will be weak.

The only two things I would have changed.
The authentic kayfun until you made up mind that it was an ok design you liked from a clone.
And Hana.. just with the bs they pulled they can go away. Many other mod makers standing by their work for cheaper with better customer service and not lawsuit happy.

I'm new too, but have done a lot of research for my planned future purchases. The Pontus by EHPro is what I plan to get when I go up to mods. It sounds right up your alley for on the go vaping. For coiling building, an ohm meter is a must, and I'd suggest looking into Steam Engines site for a helpful online tool. This tool comes with posts that would be the inner diameter of your wrapped coils, so that should help in your making of coils and using the coil calculator. But an ohm meter will help you be sure your builds are exact and help you stay safe and do it right! I hope this advice helps and isn't too late.

Just remember that you can always post the stuff you don't like for sale here . There is always someone that wants to try something new out or that needs replacement parts for what thay have. That will help you recoup some of the money you spent on stuff you may not need or like , and save them a dollar as well . There is also the PIF box . But the PIF box is a thing that you have to go on a list for I think .

I found that an igo w or igo w5 is a great starter rda made with stainless steel. You can pick one up for around 20$. Decide if you like and you can upgrade from there. I started with a vapor shark DNA30 cause the rdna wasn't out yet. The Hana is a nice mod also similar to the vapor shark. You made a good choice. Happy dripping.

You might want to check out this review of the Pontus:
Thank you, I haven't heard of the big dripper before. Looks pretty solid. But I'm not sure who to believe now. Rip was saying the vapor production sucked? Kind of confused. I found the Pontus through a Vape Scores review that mentioned a slightly muted flavor, but didn't have any other real complaint.

I just received my Big Dripper RDTA clone, and I love it. Rip said the vapor was ok with the Pontus. He didn't like the dripping action or the flavor he got. (There's a $15 BD RDTA clone on FastTech)
