Newbie with an Evic VTC Mini 75W with Tron Tank

Hey guys, new to the forum, and vaping all together. I'm a cigar smoker and trying to move away from smoking them as much. Not sure if this post is even in the right section.

Purchased an EVIC VTC Mini 75W with the Tron tank and have some questions:

What do all of the controls mean? Watts/Temp/Ohms etc.
Is it all just personal preference?
Should I just play around with random settings until I find something I like?

I'm sure these questions are asked on the daily, and if anyone can refer me to a page that already explains all of this that would be great too.

Thanks,
David

I've got the same set up.
I use the Ti coil and use the temp control setting.
When the coil was fresh I set the temp to 400 degrees F, as the coil gets used and older bump the temp up until the vape is what you need to enjoy the flavor and feel .

Mine came with two coils, the one with a red ring was the Ti.
Then you do have to change the setting to the Ti mode. (hit the power button three times quickly, when it flashes hit the up button until it flashes Ti)
I have my wattage set at 30 watts.
I also went to the web site and update the software to V 3. That part was easy on a windows computer.

You might want to check youtube. Several good reviewers have reviews up on that kit!

Some info is in the user manual and as said above there are some Youtube reviews that can help. What settings and mode you use depend on the coil you have installed. NI200 (nickel) and TI (titanium) coils should only be used in temperature control mode. Stainless steel coils can be used in either power (wattage) mode or temp control mode. Once in TC mode you can select whether your coil is NI200, TI, or SS. The temp setting controls the maximum heat the coil should achieve. The wattage in TC controls how fast it gets to that heat. Kanthal coils should only be used in power or wattage mode. The only thing you set in power mode is the wattage. In either case start with a low setting and gradually increase until you find a level that suits you.
