Use the Nichrome 80.
DO NOT use nickel unless you are using it specifically for TC. It is extremely low in resistance, and really has no use in coil building outside of TC usage.

Trying to decide if i want to use Ni80 as an outer wrap for the claptons i am going to build or use stainless...I use TC and Watts when using SS, I dont know if SS inner core wrapped with ni80 is a good mix....

Don't use Ni wire. it just sucks overall for building IMO.
Never used NiCr, i hear it's good
SS or NiFe are great options as well, even good old trusty kenthal is fine. Just avoid Ni and Ti wire and you'll be fine.
Plus your device can temp control any wire

Yeah I know it can rc any wire, but I think I'll just use 36g ss316 for the wrap, around 2 parallel 26g strands of ss316L
