If you are using dual coils; 26 gauge at 2.5mm i.d. with 8 wraps per coil will be ~.4 ohms. Very fast ramp up and useful for underpowered mods such as single 18650 mech bottom feeders. Postage will be more than the wire for trading purposes, just buy some.

Temco. Free shipping. Made in USA.
Yes. LV wire is garbage compared to Temco and Temco spools it much better. Actually it's garbage compared to most wire companies, just above Kbee but kbees wire has gotten better since I last used it.
Coil Society and Temco are my top picks for affordable, quality wire with good spooling. Pure Atomist sells great wire but a bit more expensive and then there is kidney puncher which is Sanvik wire. Literally as good as it gets.

I got one of those ss bundles from Kbee, seemed like a heck of a good deal, but the wicking on my coils turns brown after just a short time. Like something is leaching out of the wire when it is heated. So now I have a bunch of nicely spooled tie wire in a variety of gauges . From now on it's Temco or Sanvik for me, not a good place to cut corners when you are ingesting the stuff into your lungs...

All fresh SS will do that to a wet wick. LV, Temco and Pure Atomist have all done it. And ss gunks up faster. There is nothing that can leech in steel or chrome. Not from juice.

Kanthal is a trademark owned by Sandvik and Temco have permission to use it, not sure about Nichrome though.

I'll have to watch that a little closer. Have noticed some slight discoloration on the cotton from other ss's, but this stuff is on a whole 'nother level.

The stuff is really clean too, no residue at all from a rubbing alcohol wipe down. It colors up nicely if I take my time and do a slow dry burn. I only tried a couple of gauges, 28/38 on some triple core fc's, so perhaps more testing is in order.

Any TEMCO DISCOUNT CODES?

No. It's already cheaper than most and better than everything in it's price range. Temco and Coil Society are the best middle ground between quality and price.

Yeah that's what I'm getting at. It never actually says that it's Sandvik wire they sell. It is very good however. Much better than LV with any alloy. Especially coloring and especially 1000' spools. LV spools bind and snag every time at some point.

They sell more thsn just wire. They supply very large companies and usually the companys work out an agreement on pricing. They are issued a code.

However their shipping department can be sloppy. First 2 times I ordered I got various quantitys of several gauges and ended up with about 2x the wrap wire I ordered.

I had the same experience with temco long time ago.. it took them almost a month to ship, or maybe it was just back ordered... don't know!
I would give them another try though...

The only reason I don't buy from temco very often is because they don't sell 38g through 50g so I can only make use of their core wire.

Much of the SS Temco wire is also backordered 3 months.

I use LV SS316L wire and have no issues.

I'm fine with LV too.
Was considering Temco back in the day, but then I've noticed the backorder and said nope.

I always get mine from crazy wire the mesh company. No problems so far. And they send you a free random wire and some muji cotton. Decent

Crazy wire make it all themselves. They been making wire for over a 100 years.

I've never talked to another builder that didn't have a problem with LVs spools.
Every 1k' snags and it makes fusing with it impossible, especially if you need to paraclap. I've had some of the fuse and core simply refuse to color so the whole build was scrapped.
With all the other vendors I can't put myself through that again...especially when it costs more. I'd use it if they sponsored me though.

LV doesn't get wire from Temco. It's worse in every way. Idk who their supplier is but LVs is slightly smaller, colors entirely different and it's spooled much worse.
If they did they'd brag about Sanvik. I would.
