No to little throat hit on quad coil.. good or bad?

Specs: Tugboat mod, 2x samsung r25 batteries, mutation x v4, 24 awg kanthal 6 wraps x4

So, I was doing dual parallel for a while and it was cool and all but went for a more exotic quad coil build.
Firstly, the clouds are massive, so I know everything is installed relatively fine. But, in comparison to other coils, the vape is smooth, little to no throat hit (on both 3 and 6 mg of nicotine, 6 is a lot more noticable but still isn't like JESUS CHRIST) and is relatively cool (but I can make it hot easily by shutting off air holes). So is this a good thing that its a smooth throat hit? I like it and all, but I just want comfirmation I didn't screw up. Only asking because I figured that a quad coil would be really hot and harsh on the throat hit but its the opposite?

Quads do tend to be smoother. You have a lot of surface area in the build split-up, so it takes a lot more to get it hot. And on the flipside, that surface area is split-up and isolated across 4 sections, so the whole build retains less heat. The opposite would be a dual parallel, where there is self-heating going on from the coils being smushed together, which causes them to get hotter faster and lose heat slower.

There's also wicking efficiency. 4 wicks feeds juice to all of that surface area more efficiently than two would to a similarly-sized dual build. The improved juice flow more efficiently regulates the temperature.

Is it good thing? That's your call, but yes, that is how quads are supposed to perform.

Well it kinda bothered me because I thought it was ass backwards, so it was 6 wraps of a decent OK size, I don't know the exact diam of the screwdriver I wrapped it around, so I said fuck it and did 5 wraps but this time micro and its a lot hotter, the nicotine shoves itself in your throat and in 2 hits your buzzed. Its still really smooth though.
