Noalox, DeoXit and something better

So I've been trying out different lubricants, electrical conductivity additives, etc on my mods and seeing what I like best. So far, after doing my own voltage drop tests (same mod, battery, atty) I haven't noticed any improvement after using either Noalox or DeoXit. So, I'm thinking screw the voltage enhancement these products are supposed to bring to my mech's, what does the best job cleaning, lubricating and maintaining them?

Well, I remembered that I had a bottle of WeaponShield made by a company called SteelShield. I've used WeaponShield for a long long time now on my pistols, semi-auto's and rifles and it's been by far the best lubricant, cleaner and preservative I've come across. Hmmm, what would it do for my mods?

I gave it a go.

A couple of my mods had threads that were starting to look a bit oxidized.....well....at least black.I wiped the threads with WeaponShield and immediately they looked like new. They also become extremely smooth. I mean, really "buttery" smooth. Country Crock buttery smooth, not that nasty "I can't believe it's not butter" buttery smooth.

I also went to town on my RDA's as well. Just the 510 threads that is. Again, clean and smooth.

Look, I don't know, and am certainly in doubt, of how much benefit the other products really provide as far as electrical conductivity. I am certain what benefits WeaponShield has provided though. If you're like me and willing to try something different that may actually do your mods some good..give this stuff a go.
No, I don't work for them either.

Like you've discovered... I don't bother with anything but cleaning and light lubrication (with Ballistol... funny how gun lubes tend to win out in this sort of environment) on tubes and caps, either.

If you protect clean (clean and tarnish free is the key phrase here) metal from corrosion, it's conductivity, IMO, as good as it gets.

On bare copper, brass and silver contacts, I use MG silver grease, which is, amazingly enough... designed for this sort of application.

With solid gold, gold plate or rhodium plate... just clean and go.

Lol, I use MG silver too. Good stuff for sure.
