Noob Attempted Bird Brains (with recipe & request for recommendations)

I know it's rare to hear talk of cereal vapes nowadays.... Yeah sorry about that. We got into DIY to figure out some good fruity flavors for her (mission accomplished) and to emulate Bird Brains for me. Still working on that.

Disclaimer: Bird Brains doesn't taste a thing like fruit loops to me. But whatever it does taste like I'm all about it recently. But we're having trouble getting the fruitiness down and the smoothness up. You'll have to forgive me I have a terrible pallet and will never be able to pick out individual flavors. I like the outcome or I don't.

We just tried: (TFA all)

8% Fruity Circles
3% Berry Crunch
3% Meringue
1% Orange
2% Bavarian Creme
2% Malted Milk
1% Yellow Cake

Split into two 15ml bottles.

It tasted a lot like like Fruit Loops actually. But not so much like Bird Brains. The fruitiness was dominant. Lemony, despite no lemon. So we doctored after the fact:

- Added to one of the bottles: approx 3 drops Hazlenut, 4 drops Bavarian Creme and 4 drops Acetylpyrazine. This helped ease the fruity lemony power, and it seems to my primitive pallet that the Acetylpyrazine was the key to inching the flavor closer to what I'm after.

Recommendations are welcome! And if you've already nailed Bird Brains or the like and don't mind sharing then you are my hero.

You can take this recipe and adapt it to develop the flavor you are aiming for.

Hazelnut (FW) 2%
Bergamot (FA) 1.5%
Cake Yellow (FW) 2%
Orange (FA) 1%
Lemon (FE) 3%
Meringue (FA) 2%
Sweet Tangerine (CAP) 1%

If you want to keep it simple, try this:

Lemon Meringue Pie (CAP) 3%
Fruit Circles (TFA) 5%
Captain Crunch (FW) 2% (you might be able to use the berry crunch here)

Thank you! I wish I had seen your suggestions earlier. Idk how I missed the notification. My inability to get close to the flavor is becoming frustrating. Bought two 30ml of Bird Brains a few days ago and have felt guilty every pull. I certainly can't keep buying flavorings AND mass market juice. Even if I could get close - hard to make that creaminess happen. It's more a feeling than a flavor to me. So far no matter what I do I have that sort of chemically undertone. Not the smoothness that's reminiscent of cereal flavored milk.

Try adding a bit of Sweet Cream, or Butter Cream. Either of those at 1% may smooth it out for you.

I'm not adverse about using them both at 1% in a mix, if one or the other can't do it alone.
