I just made my first coils ever out of 22g Kanthal. I have 7(I think) wraps each. The issue is idk where I'm supposed to count on the coil to know if it's 6 or 7. Anyway I got my mutation X and decided to just give it a shot. I shot for .6 and got .18 originally and after wicking and letting it sit it read .58(close enough) but idk if that's even how your supposed to check ohm(with cotton, without?) anyway I'm getting some pretty good vape production at 65w on my IPv4. I'm very interesting in moving to ni200 as I have temp control. Any tips for ni200 and just Kanthal would be verrrrry much appreciated! Be gentle with your responses haha

Make sure your screws are tight. Sometimes the connection loosens up, especially after firing them(maybe from the expansion and shrinking) And with 22, there's not going to be the same "squishyness" that smaller wires have, so tightening the screws will have a more firm feel. All just thoughts though.

Screws have gotta be loose. 22 gauge should not give you .5+ ohms. .18 sounds more like it. Also, the ohms shouldn't really change much with or without cotton.
