OCC factory nickel coils for Subtanks

Looks like Vapor Shark now has the nickel wire coil heads for subtank for the DNA40 temp sensing

OCC heads are quite easy to rebuild.

the holes in the prebuilt head are right at 3mm in diameter...
using 28 g kanthal @3mm diameter with 5 wraps got me 1.15 ohms...
i stay between 22 and 23 watts...its not a dripper and not as saturated a flavor as say a russian...but its not bad, not bad at all...
have the nickel coils coming and the sx m class is on preorder...
cut those leads super close to the body...
cut the wicking material as close as you can and gently push back inside the atomizer head or it will not wick well and you will dry hit...

I ordered some of the nickel OCC heads last night, but I ordered my rDNA40 on friday, so I am guessing the coild will be here before the mod

spaced coils..rarely use continuous shorting (touching) coils anymore

i ordered my rdna40 and a few other things on the friday before they announced the occ coils. come monday morning i get an email from them saying the occ coils are available. I then ordered those, they shipped already. The rdna40 still hasn't shipped. (they said to allow for 10 business days for processing, its only been 5)

I've rebuilt several with good success. 6-9 wraps, finger squeeze, then place just like how you would using kanthal. I'm mindful of using enough cotton as my tank leaks if I don't have enough in there. Resting resistance 0.1 to 0.15. I'm vaping on one now at 0.12 and she hits like a champ!

I don't pulse it or anything, just rebuild, wick and vape. Super easy. Using 28 awg

i saw a video from twisted420 last night, he said that they do not work in the original subtank, but the mini and nano were good to go.

anyone try these yet?

I got mine in a few days ago, but just got my rDNA40 in about 5 minutes ago, i should be able to find time this weekend to mess with it

I have been running one in my subtank mini for a few days now. They seem to work good running mine at 400F at 26 Watts and it never gets higher than 370F on normal pulls.

One thing I would say is do not tighten these down too much as I noticed it will short and TP kicks on in a second or two. I am using this with a vaporflask clone so far so good.

I can't get on to this site. It hangs at the opening 'Are you 18?' page.
I have cleared cookies and get the same results using 3 different browsers. (Firefox, Chrome, & Exploder)

I called Vapor Shark and the kid treats me like I'm a rare tech support issue.
