Odd problem: tasty tasteless flavoring

I have this pear flavoring from Club Aroma that's very strange: when I taste the juice (in liquid form, on my tongue), it has a very strong pear flavor. When I vape it... nothing - almost no flavor.

It's supposed to be mixed at 2%. I've gone up to 5%, letting the juice steep for a month, and I vape it at low power, but I still get pathetic vape flavor.

Has anybody had this problem with other flavorings? Or am I doing something wrong here?

are you using PG, or other flavorings with it. do you add sweeter of any kind what PG/VG ratio and nic STR is it mixed at.

is club aroma's flavoring PG base, a super concentrate , Alcohol base.

as you can see more details maybe needed to help bring out the pear

do you heat steep , open bottle air steep, shake and wait , or use another method

i find with some flavorings it takes mixing it with 1ml of PG then heat shake wait steep before adding nic or VG then further steeping before it is good.

I don't know if the CA flavorings are PG or alcohol-based. They're not saying. The only information they give is that you should mix their flavorings (all of them) at around 2.5%, which is true enough most of the time.

I mix them in VG, water and saline. No PG for me. But in the case of the pear, I've made 2 bottles (one at 2% and one at 4%) with 70% PG for somebody, and the result is the same: strong pear flavor when sampling the raw juice directly, no flavor when vaping it.

I've tried adding 2 drops of Sour per 10 ml, but it doesn't bring out the pear. No amount of PGA does it either.

I've tried recoiling/rewicking, and feeding less power to the coil, in case it gets too hot and breaks down the flavoring somehow - no change.

As for steeping, I don't do nothing special: I prepare the bottles, give them a good shake, and then leave alone for up to 2 months in a box. All the other juices I make come out great. Only the pear comes out DOA.

I think I may just have to find me another pear flavoring from another supplier: at the end of the day, I'm not sure there's anything I can do with this one, other than using it in fruit juice or cakes :)

Try 1 drop of citric (not malic) acid per 1ml of juice. No promises but it helps to pronounce most fruit flavors.

If nothing works out, and it's not vaper's tongue, Inawera and/or FlavourArt might work very well for you. I know Inawera is really good and many swear by FA. I have no doubt in my mind it's good, too.
