ohm reading discrepancy

I apologise in advance if this in in the wrong section, or if it has already been answered. I'm new to the forum and the amount of information can be quite overwhelming!

I picked up an ohm reader when I first started building for around $10 at my local vape shop. I check all of my builds before mounting them on my mod.

My concern is that when i mount the build on my Snowwolf it usually reads 0.05ohm higher than the ohm reader. I know this isn't a huge difference,and not a huge deal as I am using a controlled device. But why is this happening?

I have a mech mod on the way and want to be as careful as possible.

as accurate as most ohm meters, more accurate than most multimeters given the purpose fitted connection

but if you are pushing the limits of your batteries the $30 odd for a good quality ohm meter is worthwhile

some mods are more accurate than others. And displaying 2 decimal places doesn't mean it is accurate to 2 decimal places

Indeed. I do enjoy my unregulated mods so I splurged for a rather expensive ohm meter. I primarily use regulated mods now, but I still mount check all of my builds on my ohm meter before I use them. I use nichrome primarily, and it has the odd property of reading stupidly low, (I had a build that came out to 0.35 ohms after being tuned -- a 36/24 AGW 9 wrap clapton pair] that started at 0.09 ohms before I fired it. That being said, I generally only fire on my parallel boxes or my regulated boxes that fire down to 0.05 ohms to be sure that I don't over stress my batteries while building. It also means that the resistance of the build is pointless before it's been tuned.

Back on topic, I have a few regulated mods, and they all read different with my standard build (that aforementioned claptons). My Sig150 reads it at 0.36. My Sig200TC reads it at 0.33 or 0.34 depending on how hard I try to crank the atty down. My Snow Wolf reads it at 0.34. My ohm meter? 0.357-0.344 ohms, oscillating. I'll buy the ohm meter's reading.
