I have been mixing for about a year now and have learned quite a bit about all the flavors enhancers sweeteners custards ..You name it. But chocolate is one I just caint get down. Anyone have a stone or base chocolate flavor? I keep getting that liquor flavor . I've tried chocolate FA and Cocoa FA (cocoa over chocolate) . Either I'm getting the percentages wrong or I need to find a better chocolate brand..
ANY suggestions would be most helpful, brands?, percentages? certain enhancers? thanks for your time :)

I will be buying Molinberry Glamour Chocolate to check it out, since the ladies above seem to really like it :D

In the meantime, I remember not liking FA chocolate so what I've been using lately is a 1:1.5 ratio of FA Cocoa:FW White chocolate, which I find that it works quite well.
FLV Chocolate Deutsch is sitting in a box. It is way too strong, however I've used it in food and it tastes really good. It's just too overpowering and because I'm lazy I never made a solution. I might go back and check it out again.

I like using TFA Double choc clear. At around 12 to 14%. I mustn't be fussy with choc as i read all over the net that chocolate is difficult or hard. Then i tried it and thought huh? Double choc, some marshmallow, 6 drops to 8 super sweet. Maybe im just easily pleased though. Ha, i admit i am a sucker for anything remotely chocolate. Did i mention i like chocolate?

Most chocolates also taste "scorched" at higher wattages. Lower wattage is better for flavor with most any of them.
I love Hangsen's Australian, and I have a 30ml of Inawera Milk that I got last year, but don't remember exactly when so I don't know for sure if it's the older version or the reformulated one. I know I got it to mix Wayne Walker's Cuprian and didn't care for the juice, so if I do indeed have the newer version of the flavor, that could be why.

It didn't have the liquor taste to it?

Vanilla is almost a must, from my testing anyways and other chocolate enhancers are coffee and esspresso flavors or even nuts sometimes. any of the following will always be found in any of my chocolate recipes

No Wylde, no liquor taste for me at all. I do seem to perceive some flavours different to others though at times. Like FA Glory tobac. Some say at high % its nutty, bit lower its got other tastes, at another % its fruity. Ahhhhh, all i taste is damn roasted peanuts at all %'s. Then Vienna creams supposed to be delicious eggnog! Eggnog, what eggnog? In fact i cant even perceive vienna cream let alone eggnog! I think at times i have, nah i know i have, got Andria's taste bud problems. Maybe you have super sensitive type and taste every little thing that othets like myself may not!? Good luck getting it right. Life without some chocolate to brighten up the day would make it pretty dull.
