I assume you weren't able to get much of anything done today
Right. Filled the chicken feed bin, etc., and had a fight with a rooster who wanted to eat the cat food I put out for the ferals. The bastard bit me and drew blood and made me regret that I didn't hit him harder/

I hope the rest of that machine holds up after the engine is completed, I'm sure you do too.....:teehee:
Luckily, other than the engine, everything else (hydraulics, etc.) has always worked fine. I hope it stays that way, but keep in mind, it IS 35 years old. I am not expecting any failures, but it wouldn't surprise me. I'm trying to keep a positive attitude.

I kinda have a life philosophy that's pretty short and easy to remember: If you think you can or you think you can't, you're absolutely right.

That's the way it's supposed to work, has for me in the past, I'm sure for you too - on more than one occasion

But I am surprised by how many people I meet in this world who live on the negative side all the time and just can't understand why nothing ever goes right for them. Shiiiiittttt... folks, it is YOU who creates your reality. Maybe we don't bother with the small shit, like how many inches of snow you get or if it is hot enough to melt your cactus, but it is you who deals with it, in a good way or a bad way. Why can't everyone get that through their thick skulls?

How to win friends and influence people? I never did read that one, but from those who did, I heard it was full of good advice.

FDA Advises Consumers Not to Use Rompe Pecho Cough Syrup

October 11, 2019 -- FDA advises consumers not to use Rompe Pecho EX and Rompe Pecho CF cough syrups distributed by Efficient Laboratories, Inc., Miami, Florida, due to microbial contamination risks. These are over-the-counter medicines for children six years and older. FDA recommends consumers stop using these medicines and dispose of them. These contaminated cough medicines could potentially cause illness.

Forecast for today said we might make it up to 40 degrees (oh goodie - at least that is not freezing). Reality: mostly sunny, almost calm, and the thermometer said 50 degrees!!! After busting my butt digging out snow from the driveway gate this morning, by afternoon it was all melted. Maybe I should have waited, but I really needed to get over to the neighbor's place for some wheat for the chickens.

Not sure what the temp was here today, but it wasn't cold, nor chilly.....:)

Nothing unusual...30g45. What was unusual was that it was dead calm this morning. Temp got all the way up to 59, but we still have patchy snow.
Snow still....damn, must have got more than I pictured.....oh well, it'll be gone tomorrow

When are you heading to town again to check on the BC?
I did that today. They tried to put the new engine in but couldn't because it needed an adapter that wasn't included in the kit. That part should be here tomorrow and bob should be home by the end of this week.

Well that's great news.....hopefully there are no other setbacks

Assuming it actually does get here by the end of the week and assuming we have no deep freeze before then, maybe I can get the work done that should have been done in June.

I hear that....I'm sure you could probably spend a good amount of time on it doing catch-up

The primary need here is to have it here and usable before the REAL winter snow gets here. Seriously, if I have to move snow with a shovel this winter, I will become paralyzed from the waist down or dead. This body is no longer capable of that kind of manual labor. To us, bob is a necessity.
