Hey Dale! Slightly off subject, but you still using Mystic Island? Their price just went from $69 to $100 per kg. Ouch! Do you suppose that is flu-caused?

I tried to buy a kilo a few days ago, they didn't have any in stock.....but yeah, that is quite the price hike.

Lannie seems content with Mystic's product, so I am reluctant to change vendors, but if you say they are good, I'll check them out.
his prices about doubled.
OK, never mind...
I was going to go back to Beaufort, but you say they went up too?

WHY?

No idea why the prices jumped so much....but Mystic has them all beat and we know it's quality.

I just ordered a kilo of green maengda from Mystic. They have not responded yet and they are blaming that on the COVID problems (and limiting purchases to a max of one kilo). I wonder if the FDA has something to do with this... or higher import taxes? Or SE Asia is not exporting as much to us for political reasons.

Who knows....you'll get the invoice in the morning and he'll ship it tomorrow.

I had to buy 4 125-ers, that was the largest quality he had a few days ago.

Or Monday. Tomorrow is the weekend.

I ordered 4 - 250s. He's not even suggesting a 1 kilo bag exists.
I believe he's open on Saturday. He took the kilo option off the list....maybe he is having a hard time getting it here with all the nonsense going on.

The USPS is losing money everyday. Is it just me or does it seem like the have bad systems in place or is it just incompetence? Maybe a combination of both? I'm waiting on 3 packages. They all arrived at the distribution center. Supposedly 1 package will be here today, 1 here Monday and the last package still has not been updated. They keep raising their prices and service gets worse.

Combination of all this crap, but one of the hard things is that it is nearly impossible to fire a bad employee, some of whom have even been caught stealing your packages. While technically, USPS is not a government agency, they have government oversight, so they get treated "as if."

One of the big problems I have with them is mandatory use of distribution centers. I can send a letter to someone in a town 48 miles west of here and it has to be picked up by a post office 28 miles in the other direction, then go to a distribution center 200 miles farther east, to go to a city 250 miles SW of there, to be resorted to go 50 miles north. That letter takes 5-7 days to go 48 miles. Is this the efficiency we are looking for?

Contrary to popular belief it's not hard to fire a government employee. The biggest problem in the process is the supervisors. They don't want to do th he work to follow the process. A perfect example is an asshole we have where I work. I call the guy the un guy. You know undependendable, unreliable, untruthful, unreachable and incompetent. He calls in atleast once a week and has been caught sleeping on the job almost every day. He's a liar and a thief. He's also a drug addict. The supervisor will not even write the guy up. That is the supervisor's fault and he's putting others at risk because of it.

When I first started vaping I used Halo who were based in NJ at the time. The distribution center in Kearney NJ is a black hole. I had a package lost there and lots of folks on ECF had horror stories to tell about that place.

My mail locally will sometimes go through San Jose who will then send it to Fresno before it comes back to my local PO. The thing is they have to drive through my town to get to Fresno.

I've always been one of those who was willing to behead the CEO to make sure everyone downline understood the rules of employment. Seriously, I have been a manager at several levels and have always started with a group meeting to explain the rules and let those who reported to me become aware that breaking said rules results in their immediate termination. Ass kissing is not permitted and covering for another employee's misdeeds will get both of you fired. You do your job or you don't have that job. Simple.

I also have had my own manager chew my ass a few times for being hard on my employees (they complained). I said I was not hard on them at all. Here are the lists of their duties, which they agreed to when they took the job. Nowhere does it say they get to visit porn sites on company time, or play video games, or write to forums (like this one) when they are supposed to be working. Now, boss, do you want them to work or do you want them to play? You tell me what the rules are and I will comply and they will comply. But... BUT... if you want to allow them to play, you cannot hold me responsible for their failure to meet schedules and produce quality products. Which means you have no intention of making this company be profitable and respected. And if that is the case, you don't want me working here. I was raised to have a strong work ethic and I won't tolerate today's generation of fuck-offs.

Would you want me somewhere in your chain of command?

Absolutely I would want you in my chain of command. Before I started my latest career 30 years ago I've manage a couple different businesses. When I was assistant manager for Winston Tires I had to fire my roommate and good friend. It was a lesson me. I felt bad for the guy but he had some bad behaviors and I tried to work with him. He was also young and didn't want to listen. Too bad because he really was a good guy guy overall. On the other hand I had a guy that worked for me that nobody else would give a chance. He was one of the best employees I ever had. I agree with you. If you follow the rules and do your job there shouldn't be a problem. The generation nowadays acts like if they grace you with their presence sometime during the week or the day if you're lucky that's good enough. They also think that $100K is a fair starting wage
