To Rich & Lannie
Hey Sox! We don't see enough of you around here.

Thanks to all who have wished us a Happy...

It was also near this time (uh, maybe June?) that we first met... 37 years ago! Dang, I sure wish I could go back to that time when I was only 32 years old and very little of this ancient body hurt like it does today. Ah, the good old dayz...

Today was the first time I tried Bob's custard, I seen a post about it yesterday with the ingreds mentioned, so I had to try it....definitely a winner....!

I like it, too. One of my new favorites.

Hey, Happy Anniversary, Rich and Lannie. Wishing many more excellent anniversaries for you. :hearts:

I'm diggin that kilt. :D

Hugh Laurie, in an interview I saw once, talked about his Scots parents, how they were Presbyterian and "big on suffering." I just thought that was so perfect, yep. Scots. Big on suffering.

I can say that without offense, I hope, because many of my ancestors were Scots.

As I speak my husband is gathering up the able-bodied neighbors to help replace our well pump. It's only been about 3 months since they did this. Sonuvabitch pump went out on Sunday night AGAIN. Poor hubbs. Poor neighbors. I hope he bought 'em a case of beer. The neighbors are big on beer, not suffering.

I can usually take suffering if its necessary - it's the optional suffering I avoid as much as possible

And happy anniversary Rich and Lannie !

Mr Juicy and I have 21 years tomorrow!

What kilt? Did I miss something? While I have been to Scotland, I have no Scot in me (Swedish, Danish, Irish, German, etc.). Hmmmm... must be that you can see the bottom of the cape between my legs and between that and the tall boots, maybe I appear to be wearing a kilt in that picture. Nope. Sorry.

That is a difficult job even with help.
Have done it alone when I was much younger and it was a killer even then.
A lot lighter going back in though.

Well, that's embarrassing. I looked back at the pic and now I do see that it was the cape that caused confusion. I knew my laptop screen was bad, but not that bad. Sorry Rich.

No need to be sorry. It was an easy to make mistake. I did wear a kilt one day, while staying with a friend at Duntarve castle (actually Lord Nimmo's manor house) west of Edinburgh, just to see what it was like. My friend's brother got all dressed up to show me his finest, then said the most common question us foreigners typically ask him is, "What's worn beneath the kilt?" Then he grinned and said, "There is nothing worn beneath my kilt. It's all in perfect working order." :D

Well, Rich...did you take Lannie to the big city for lunch or dinner today?......:vino:
No, we both worked in the garden all afternoon. I also gathered the trash from the barns, shop, garage, house and burned it because the wind was very light for a change. Dinner? We had tuna fish and pickles in a tortilla while crumpled on the couch moaning about our "old phart pains."

Actually, that sounds better than a 100.00 dinner in Fargo....:)

I am a closet lawn hater (an advantage in Alaska) and admit I have no idea what a zero turn lawnmower is

What they are is the newest (or new-er) man gadget. All the guys I work with have them, or if they don't, they salivate over them.

Man sits on the gadget, a vertical lever in each hand, and a wide platform mower deck underneath his butt. He can spin the thing around 360 degrees basically without the center of it being displaced at all. Can mow acres in seconds, according to them. Best thing since sliced bread.

I'm a lawn hater, too. C'mon out of the closet. :bliss:

It would be damn funny to think of some tighty-whiteys up underneath all that finery. :teehee:
