I tried to cut my way into a huge (THORNY) bougainvillea growing in the backyard, with a freaking Tree (of unknown specie) growing in the center of it. After I cut most of the thorny branches away, so I can somewhat get at the tree, I realized someone borrowed my pole saw and hasn't returned it. I'll get it with the sawzall tomorrow tho...after I find my 100ft extension cord.

Guess I could do some organizing in the garage too, so I can find shit I may need once in a lifetime....

the forecast isn't quite accurate..
They never are around here. Let's see if I can tell today's activities in something less than novel-length publication. Lannie and I both did significant snow digging this morning at chore time. I have to go over to a neighboring rancher's place to get some wheat because the chickens are out of food, but I can't get out of my own damn driveway because of the huge snowdrifts. Well, it is up to 15 ºF, so cross your fingers that the bobcat will start. Crank crank pop crank fizzle is this antique POS ever gonna start? Went back in the house for a vape and stew over this problem. Back outside, more ether, crank crank purr... OK, we have ignition! But both the foot pedals (they operate the bucket) are jammed with snow and frozen in place. Wang on them with a steel bar. Very little movement - maybe driving it a bit will warm things up? At 15 ºF and with a 20 mph wind? Dream on idiot! (wind chill only -2 ºF) I stood on them and kicked and cussed a lot. The pedals moved a bit, so for the next 3 1/2 hours, I totally ruined my knees kicking those pedals, but I cleared the driveway and made some paths to the barns. Then I came in to vape and warm up again before going to get that wheat. My fingers and toes were totally numb and everything else ached like hell. The hay man was on the phone and wants to deliver tomorrow instead of Friday. OK (blah blah blah) Off to the neighbor's and got 600 pounds of wheat and came home just in time to go out for evening chores. Lannie busted her butt raking chaff out of the hay room and I dug more snow. We're both about ready to fall over (hey, we're really oldt), so we said we'll finish getting the hay room ready tomorrow morning. Right now it is time for dinner and a couple hours in front of the boob tube. I am so tried and in so much pain that I think I should just go to sleep right now......

And hopefully the wind doesn't fill everything in you cleared....!!
I hope so too because if the hay guy shows up tomorrow morning after driving that huge trailer full of hay 60 miles and can't get in my driveway... well, I don't know if I can just crawl under the bed. o_O

Another nice quiet day in paradise.
that can change tomorrow. Taking both the Wife unit and her sister to the big city tomorrow...
Then I think I have to take SIL and her cat to the vet Friday. not sure which one the vet is going to treat though.

Screw those temps. Sure it's not quite as bad as our friend in SD, but still bad enough. Where are you again? I hate my short term memory.
Yeah, they do suck, we had 30 to 40 mph wind with it, made it really suck. central Illinois

Dale have you been using your juicer every day?
Not everyday, but if I'm not using the juicer...I'm using the Bullet Mixer for smoothies.....

Got a shitload of fresh turmeric root, damn I love that shit....almost tastes like a carrot when it's fresh.

Gonna try to plant some turmeric in the garden this year.

I have seen Tumeric root starts in the seed catalogs so i dont see why you couldn't, timing might be critical though

I'm just going to toss in a box of the tumeric into the ground I bought at Trader Joes...it should grow like ginger-potatoes, etc...I hope anyway.
