Old problem with Mutation x v4

I've been using Mutation x v4 for about 6-7 months now. When I first got it I was so eager to use all accessories it came with (only the glass adapter). So I tried as hard as I can to unscrew the top most part of the cap. It won't unscrew so I figured it won't make any difference anyways so I let it go and continue vaping without the extension. Now I stumbled to a video with a mutation x v4 review(I was looking for limitless rdta reviews but I can't help to click the mutation vid) As I watch the video, the guy reviewing easily unscrews the top cap without any problem. That bothered me so much because I spent so much time trying to unscrew it. (putting to freezer, using pliers etc etc) Is there any more tips you can give me?

The part I can't unscrew is the right most part in this picture

It's not screwed it's just held in place with an o-ring.
Hold the left most part and push the right most part out from the inside.

have you tried using these for grip?

outside of that, hitting it hard until it heats up (heat expands metal) then throwing it in the freezer (cold shrinks metal) might be enough of a change to loosen it up

Unfortunately I don't have those. I even tried to use my drum stick to twist it but to no avail. It's really frustrating not being able to use that glass extension

Thank you for all you advises. Unfortunately I am yet to remove the top cap. I'm trying that latex gloves next time! I hope it works!

Latex gloves, rubber grippers that you use to take lids off. Maybe try running it under very hot water. Heat usually expands things and if there's old juice stuck in the threads hot water will soften it up.

There is an oring inside there that is probably bone dry. The harder you push down and try to turn the harder it will remain stuck.

I'd try just dropping it into a cup of hot water for a bit to see if it can soak in that crack and lubricate that oring and threads.

I have one I use also. You really need to lube all of the parts with a little ejuice. Also, when trying to remove the chimney, use 2 small pair of pliers. Put something over the threaded 510 area as not to damage the threads. There's a guy on eBay that makes pliers dipped in rubber. He files off the teeth then dips it. I have a pair. I use them when I have a troublesome tank. In your case, RDA. I have the copper set.

What's the point of the glass extension to make it taller?

Though I have two of these I don't use them very much as they leak more than somewhat - as I understand it the plastic insert acts like an expansion chamber and supposedly cools down the vape.

Too late now for the OP who has learned like I did that it's a good idea to take everything apart first with a new tank dripper or whatever - then if you get stuck you can take it back to the shop.

I learned the hard way with a Nautilus Mini and a hard marble floor in Spain - when it was new the big silicone washer at the bottom tended to stick to the glass...I wrested with it, it flew out of my hand and G was on the next bus down to Fuengirola for a replacement - which I took apart in the shop!
