I'm working with a recipe that's beginning to frustrate me.

Placing a drop on my tongue, perfection. But I can't taste the primary ingredient when vaping.

Could it be the build?

Wattage?
I think too much heat just kills the flavors sometimes.
But I'm only using a PT2 type Clone with single micro coil at 1.6-2ohms at around 7watts so...

My wattage varies, 16-24 depending on the mod I'm using.

I also use temp control. I actually do get a hint of flavor with it.

I'm using 28 twisted in the temp control. And 26 Kanthal in power mode, 24 in my drip tank, with varying wattage as I search for a sweet spot.

Everything is sub ohm at the moment. Although I can build at higher ohm. I'm thinking of trying a zipper build, or adding .5 % to the mix.

I could also be how you steep the liquid or mixed it. I've run into acouple recipies that with a few tweaks they taste better after a week being shaken twice a day with a super shake the night before (using a sawzall) and another shake before to ensure everything is blended.

I have also found that even though a recipie says "shake and vape" I'm not getting great tasting results right out of the bottle for my sub ohm coils.

And there is always that caveat everyone says, taste is subjective. For me it's butterscotch...I can't seem to get that flavor to work for me and I am just stuck...but i think it's a flavor that my taste buds aren't doing well.

just when I thought mixing and making my own is easy peasy;
my first basic taste good juice (apple/cinnamon)..stuff taste great at first filling of tank, with lots of flavor, but after awhile the flavor kind of fades away..
sorry I can`t offer any advice, but hope you get it figured out!
