Warning: Full spoilers for the Orphan Black: Season 4 premiere follow.

Considering the big Neolutionist reveal at the end of last season, it made sense that Orphan Black would want to backtrack and go over some of the events of Season 1 again in "The Collapse of Nature." And while a Beth-centric flashback premiere was a clever way of recapping said events, it did feel a little repetitive in that we knew how it was all going to end. Still, there were a few surprises here, including the return of several deceased characters like Paul and Dr. Leekie.

I will say right off the top, it was fun seeing Beth in her element, as it were, working alongside Art and interacting with early-days Clone Clubbers Alison and Cosima. Actually, I'd kind of forgotten how many characters Beth knew before Sarah stepped in to assume her identity. Granted, some of these cameos felt pointless and fan-servicey -- Felix at the station, for example, or Olivier Duval getting a ring fitting for his vestigial tail. But others like Dr. Leekie turned out to be key in advancing Beth's investigation, which was cool.
