Ubisoft has announced more than 6.4 million players took part in The Division's beta, which ended February 22nd. With so many players, The Division's beta is reportedly the "biggest beta ever for a new game brand on current generation platforms."
Players spent an average of five hours in the street of New York City, and two hours in The Dark Zone, the game's PvP arena. Ubisoft reported almost 50% of players turned rogue during online play. Also in the Dark Zone, players extracted over 63,309,800 contaminated items.
The Division's open beta started on February 18 on Xbox One and on February 19 for PlayStation 4 and PC. Players were able to rank up to level eight in normal play, and up to 12 in the Dark Zone. However, player progress isn't carried over when the game releases on March 8.
