Game Director Jeff Kaplan confirmed on the Battle.net forums that the second season of Overwatch's competitive mode has begun, several days before its predicted launch date of September 6. So if you own Overwatch on PC, you can play it...right now.
IGN is currently investigating whether or not Overwatch's second season is live on consoles.
