Surviving Mars, a new space simulation game from Tropico 5 developer Haemimont Games, has been announced.
The game's publisher, Paradox Interactive, announced the project in a post on its official website, describing it as "a sci-fi settlement builder all about colonizing Mars and surviving the process."
In Surviving Mars, players will select a space agency that will supply them with resources and funding as they establish their colony. The primary goal is to keep your colonists alive by creating an infrastructure that enables you to expand and develop your settlement.
In order to survive the planet's harsh conditions, players will need to contract space domes to house their colonists, who are individually simulated, each with their own unique set of strengths and weaknesses. You'll have to cultivate your own food, mine for minerals, explore the planet's secrets and conduct research to make scientific advancements.
