A couple years ago, when I first started DIY, I bought flavors from several different companies, including FW. I found a lot of their flavors not to my taste. I did find one gem, and that was Pink Champagne. It has a nice acidity, and is pretty sweet. However, it really doesn't taste like champagne to me lol. I usually add it to fruits to lighten them, sweeten them, and give them a bit of acid. I thought it might be good with something bitter, so I came up with this.
Pink Grapefruit
7% Pink Champagne (FW)
2% Grapefruit (FA)
Nice and simple. This has a sweet start, and then hits you with bitterness on the back of your tongue, kind of like a real grapefruit sprinkled with sugar. As a side note, I think I'm going to try pink champagne with neroli, might be good.
