The game will launch on Xbox as a console exclusive, but that implies that it may come to other platforms at a later date.
In May, Battlegrounds creator Greene told Business Insider that a console port was in the works, but gave no specific timeframe.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds launched on Steam Early Access on March 23. The massively popular battle royale shooter, which is still in Early Access, sold two million copies in less than two months. Our early review called it a "tight, focused, no-frills experience" that makes it the better choice among similar survival-based MMO shooters.
