PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has now sold over 8 million copies, game creator Brendan Green confirmed during Microsoft's Xbox briefing at Gamescom.
While he remained tight-lipped on when the game will launch for Xbox One, Green also announced that Microsoft is publishing PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds on Xbox One, and that the game is coming to the Xbox Game Preview program.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds was announced for Xbox One at E3 2017, and is slated to launch on the console sometime later this year.
Just three months after its Early Access release, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds passed the 4 million mark. An update for the game launched just a few weeks ago, adding PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds adding Xbox controller support and FPS-only servers.
