Please help me figure out % of nicotine

I have 36mg nicotine.
What is the percentage of that nicotine?

How do I get from 36mg to 12mg?

So on and so forth.
My brain hates numbers and math :(

36 to cut to 12 would be 2 parts no nic to 1 part nic. So, you would add 2mls of no nic to every 1ml of nic base. That would give 3mls of 12mg nic from 1 ml of 36mg. Just adjust for the total amount your trying to get. 20mls no nic to 10mls nic for 30ml at 12mg. ETC.

BTW. It's mg per ml. So in this case 36mg per 1ml. add 2 more ml of pg/vg and you get 12mg per ml.

You have 36mg nic and you want 12mg, so you need to dilute it by two thirds. So if you have, say 30mls of 36mg, you're going to add pg/vg to make it 90 mls of 12mg - make sense?

Ejuice-me up is a really useful calculator if you don't already have it!

Thank you. It's been a struggle for me to get a grasp on this.
I've been DIY for quite some time now and it was simple just going with what was comfortable for me.
But now that I'm gonna start mixing for friends and family I want to have my percentages as exact as I can get them.
NO excuses, but my dyslexia affects my math skills more than anything else.

No, but I'm going to start using one.
Don't forget to figure the amount of flavoring as part of your no nic percent. example: to get 30ml. @12mg
10ml of 36mg nic base +17ml vg/pg no nic base +3ml flavoring = 30ml juice @12mg @10% flavoring. hope this helps you out.

@Fishee, I also use the ejuicemeup calculator. It's really easy to use, allows 7 flavors. Just pop in the strength of your nic and what base it's in, how much you want to make and at what desired strength and final ratio of pg/vg desired. If I can figure it out, you can, too. Love ya Fishee!

@Huckleberried hello sweetheart. I've missed seeing you. I was really hoping you would give me some advice. I had considered sending you a PM rather than start this thread. But decided to see how the thread would prosper.

I really appreciate your help.
Do I need to download the calculator?

I sure do love you too!:)

Yep, you do need to download. It's free, too. There are others out there that allow for more flavors, have fancy gizmos for pricing and stuff, but I like the simplicity of the ejuicemeup one.

Anything any of us can do to help you out, you know we're here for ya!

P.S. It'll allow you to save recipes, and also save your basic nic mix strengths, too. I like this one.

no offence taken.
simple just going with what was comfortable for me.
It's easy to put the same amount in my own stuff.
1 and half or 2 ml of 36mg in my liquid is what keeps me feeling good. Wasn't too concerned with an exact percentage.
Just new that Before I started dripping I liked 36 or 24mg juices and after I started dripping liked way less;)

I was going through a bad time about a year ago and I was in such a nasty mood I would just eyeball things hahaha for awhile too strong just add more PG /VG flavor I still eyeball if I know I am making 30ml or more of just one or two flavors with the VG as I vape 50/50 for RBA's and 30/70 for RDA

There is nothing wrong with the way you were doing it before @Fishee. All that matters is it worked for you. You just might be surprised when you get things figured out at the mg you are vaping. As Huck said we always try to help when we can.
