@lcgixxer87 i prefer staple varieties (naked, plain, alien, framed, staggs, alien framed etc) for the most part. i find that plain alien wraps vape better than mohawks/stitched/interlock etc, despite the former looking so beautiful (this is the diminishing returns area imo). if youre not up to aliens or staples, like @BKTOAD said, fused claptons are almost in the ballpark, and much easier to make (though, if you can stack some ribbon wire, plain staples are only a little harder to deal with...and clear improvement in vape)...stick around, we need all the minds we can get in here sharing tips and glorious coil porn

I polished up the Reload RDA Top Cap and threw a Hybrid in it...just got 2 Reload RTA's in also and I love it...the draw it a little tight but I havent played around with it enough to see if it was my coil placement or not yet...we'll see but for now here's their RDA.

I would wrap the staple first, then wrap the Clapton between the wraps of the first coil, it's the best way to keep it all tight. It's a bit of a pain but it'll get ya the best resultsStaged/Staple&Clapton 1st try. My buddy sent me a pic and said "hey can you build me this one?" Sure no problem its just a couple staples and a clapton wrapped parallel. But what a pain to coil!!! This was the test coil and i changed it up by using 3 diffrent guage wraps. Its.4 ribbon 10ply/44gN80, 6ply/40gN80 & 26gK/36N80, 4mm. The KA1 helped keep it over .2ohm
Wrapping it was a challenge made a couple screw ups and broke the 44g in one spot. I did wrap them all at the same time to keep the spacing right. Any tips from the more experienced guys out there? And what is it really called?

Do you mean did the center core and ribbon shift while fusing? No not up and down...but mabey the center is shifting from one side of the frame to the other! Ahh haaaa! Light bulb!! Thats probably why itll go neat and easy for a while, catching every groove and for no apparent reason itll skip grooves or just ignore the groves all together.
Im sorry i just realized the pic i posted illustrates nothing relating to my question. It took foever to get it like that cause i had to constantly back up and redo. My first triple core fused Clapton! Still working on my Claptons but the vape on what I've been making isn't bad at all.

Blitz Enterprises Hannya RDA. Unfortunately, the wire was too thick for it to vape efficiently, so I switched to a single-core Clapton. On a side note, I love the postless build deck on the RDA! It builds on easily and it's enjoyable to do, too.

I am only able to do Claptons and Fused Claptons and twisted coils because I am simply not getting exactly how to do (for example) Alien coils and other exotic coils, even with youtube videos on how to do them, so I figured I'd try to do something simple and somewhat different than my usual Clapton and so I made what I posted above. It vapes pretty good, so it's not a loss!
